I'm not sure if you're referring to Cox because he's certainly rucked every game he's played this year.

I do find your Dawes comparison interesting but there circumstances are hardly similar.

Dawes came through all the elite junior pathways, was a highly touted junior who only slipped in the draft order due to a knee injury, generally played with Cloke and Brown type support tall forwards and 2010 (his 4th year on the list) and 2011 (5th) he was playing in a GF quality level side.

Cox has always played as KF/ruck, has just started his 4th year playing footy, full stop, and has never had the quality support Dawes had or the played in a side that's a patch on our 2010-2011 sides. He'll never be a high possession player but he's already match Dawes highest ever goal output of 4 goals.

If by seasons end, he can be averaging 10 possessions or more, 5-6 marks or more, 1.6-2.0 goals, along with his 10-20 hitouts, I'd say he's played his role, in much the same way Dawes did, just in a different way which is as you'd expect given its a different role.

Lol. I am so anti Cox because after 4 weeks were he fails to kick a goal I think there is no chance he will kick 36-44 for the season. But yeah you are a great supporter because you believe he can kick 44 goals in the next 18 weeks

Not sure what world you live in but the real would doesn't rule out potential growth in individuals, it promotes that potential as something to aspire to.

Kicking 20 goals is realistic growth, he has shown over the opening month that it’s not realistic to think he will kick 44 goals this year

Your taking the absolute extremity of a range provided just to be an arse and make yourself feel clever yet 30-40 goals could still potentially happen.

Pretty average tbh. He's okay as a release option and takes a few contested grabs but don't think he'll be able to compete with Grundy athletically. Think he's okay with his tap work but still think we're behind there. Leuenberger wont get a look in thank gawd. He's like a giraffe on heat
