Geez, this Essendon side is actually a lot older and more games than I thought



They should be trying to contend if this is their experience levels, as this puts them as one of the older sides in the comp you'd think.

Our side vs Port today for comparison, and we have about the same composition as Norf and Port are actually younger on the whole than Bombers:

Hopper (24) was a year older than Jaeger/Tom (23) were when we recruited them. Taranto at 25 was 2 years older. Hardly “topping up” with older guys.

No clue where you got your ages from but Hopper is older than Taranto and as of the time they came across to their new clubs Mitchell and Jaeger were both 23 and Hopper and Taranto were 26 and 25 respectively.

In Mitchell's case it's closer to a year and a few months difference but Hopper is genuinely 3 years older than O'Meara was.

Point being they brought across players with a few less good seasons, to help players already on their list with less seasons than our existing players had.

I think it's the other way around. Hopper a year older than Taranto

I don't think we had anywhere near the currency Weagles wanted.

They would only have passed Pick 1 for 2 + 3. We had nothing near that.
