Good, Bad, Ugly v Collingwood

I see a rebuild coming on.
Sloane is gone, Lynch possibly as well. Betts on the slide, Sauce, Gibbs, JJ all hitting 30 yo soon, and still having talent leave year on year.
Better get some good draft picks and get some local lads in.

We have just given Betts and JJ long term contracts

Was always going to be a slow start to the season coming off a late finish plus some injuries. I didn't think it would be that slow though.

Clearly a few shouldn't have played. Was talk during the week that Betts had a hammie niggle.

I wonder if we got spooked by Sydney at the SCG next week and considered this a must win game?
Too bad our playing group didnt get the memo.

Utter stupidity to put Camporeale, Clarke and Hart back in the box together and expected anything different from the disaster that they were the last time they were all together in 2011

I started writing us off the second I knew we had re-hired Ben Hart. We may as well have completed the masterpiece by getting Bickley back as our forwards coach. I know it's risky to take a punt on new coaching talent but it's ******* suicide to revert to a group of people who have already failed. In the blink of an eye we are back to the mid-table rubbish we dished up in 2013/14 and there's nobody to blame but the club itself.

Isn't that the definition on insanity? When you keep making the same mistakes over and over again but expect different results.

Yep fitness staff must come under the blow torch

*, how bad are we missing Matt Crouch? His Sam-Mitchell like decision making and kicking in the midfield is the core of a lot of our game. Arguably him and Laird are doing the work that makes AFC footy look like AFC footy. Brad complements this. Greenwood and CEY try hard on the inside stuff but drift out of the game at times, do weak, drifty little handballs that accomplish nothing and turn the ball over. At this stage we can carry one if we had few-to-no injuries in a Menagola-type midfield cameo role but as the main midfield-men: it's simply not working. Lyons would have been nice here....

Ask Brisbane.

Too bad our playing group didnt get the memo.
You can only do what you can do

Six day break off Etihad and a bunch weren't ready to play - Walker, Sloane, Talia, Betts, Lynch.

When Collingwood kicked the 1st goal after 6-7 skill or decision error from our players I had a sense that this would go pear shape
It's happened before and it will happen again.

We all know it.

We need to end this now.

Yes we can blindly keep pushing on, we might even make finals, but we will not win the premiership and we all know this same game will repeat itself.

No matter how good or bad they played tonight the careers of dmac, Dougie and JJ should simply be ended. We need to be proactive and usher in the next generation.

I'd rather loose in the short term and have a chance at ultimate glory than die the slow death of mediocrity.

Sorry but I don't buy that.

We were fumbly all night, weren't up for a contest, zero composure with the ball and lacked effort.

Last week we won easily in the end. It wasn't like it was a hard slog all game.

Would like your opinion on our forward structure currently.

Send that list to Burton so he can conduct a thorough investigation.

We ****ed our pre-season.

Players being lambasted prior to Christmas for coming back out of shape should have sent alarm bells ringing.

Burton and Haas should start looking for a new job.
Brisbane were riddled with injuries when Burton left. It's taken him a full year but he's ****ed up oursquad now too. Needs to fall on his sword.

I say we burn the SCG game, swap out about 5 or 6 players, even more, play one of the reserve fill ins even. But have everyone there to watch on the sidelines.

Sack the fitness coach, cancel the mental coach contracts, that was a joke.

The board needs to sharpen their pencil, too many “should not happen”s are happening. Chapman to step down if he doesn’t have to balls to stand up for the club against itself.

Why on earth are you talking of rebuilding the club after one loss?

Be easier if you just mentioned who wasn't injured so far this year!

This is one of the reasons I stay away from the board after a loss.

Take it for what it was, a bad loss. The sun will come up tomorrow and we go again Friday.
