I think Chol is a hopeful
pathway to how we may get the GC Pick 4. I continue to dream.

I actually think that what you have stated is correct, without a capable second key forward/ruck our forward line structure is basically shizen (especially if we lose Lewis for an extended period of games as we tend to do every year).

With Kossy gone and Ramma and Ryan still needing to add 10kg which could take a couple of years we are crying out for someone like Chol.

I think Sam knows we need to start to see some more wins next year, he won't want to see another bottom 4 finish again.

Yes I agree that Ryan will never be Tom Hawkins style Beast but if Lewis goes down again we will be left with a key forward combo of Ryan and Lewis who will frankly get destroyed by the likes of Weitering, Andrews, etc.

Chol just makes sense, even more so now Kossy if off to the Tiges.

Doubt he’d be on much, he wasn’t getting a game for Richmond when recruited. Now not getting a game for GC either, they might want him off their books especially with Hardwick now entering as coach. Happy to have him on the cheap, would be a suitable replacement for Kosi and give us some depth.

We seem to be leaving it a bit later than normal this year, probably due to how active we are being on the trade table.

Would want to do the right thing by the delisted players to give them enough time to test the market.

Out of Adelaide, the lions & us, surely we would be front runners.
He is a stop gap of sorts, but one we need. I think he'd complement Lewis well and given the height & mobility of both, one of them should be able to get off the chain most weeks.

Yeh a Chol / Lewis combo with Chol playing as a hybrid forward/ruck does look good on paper.

Both big, big boys that can take a grab that would cause some headaches for oppo backlines.

Also both are actually very good kicks for goal as well which is important.

We've lost a Ruckman in Lynch & we're likely losing a FWD/Ruck in Kosi.

Picking up a FWD/Ruck makes perfect sense.

Normally I'd agree with you but a lack of a second key forward/ruck is such a glaring hole in the list and if Lewis goes down again we will be completely screwed yet again.

What the team needs in 2024 is some wins to build confidence, that will do them wonders and Chol will help deliver that.

A bit younger than other targets. I must say I’m inclined to avoid the stop gap - we have a couple of those already. Fans seem to be on board really good crowds considering the finishing position.

Always open to recruiting a repeat of a Gunston though

Mind you not many forwards are, he is an absolute monster these days.

Ability to play second ruck makes him of even greater value to us. Two specialist rucks didn’t work for us. We were most effective this year with Kosi in that forward/ruck role and Chol is both a better forward and better ruck than Kosi

Oh please don’t make us front runners for everyone! Every time some one starts with that line it ends badly!
