News In case anyone cares, Daisy trolled us (post #53)

They're showing the exact same loyalty that was shown to them.
Examples? My understanding Thomas had a contract offer didn't want it, Beams was wanted at Collingwood didn't want to stay, Shaw given time to become disciplined wouldn't change, Jolly told wouldn't get many games this was backed up when no club wanted him, Lumumber antics were put up for long time, Cloke given many chances despite drop off in form.
The only player I think was hard done by from a loyalty view point is Dawes, yet despite having the most to be bitter about he has conducted himself brilliantly.
I know some are just anti the club about anything and everything but they hardly rushed to get rid of these players

haha!
My sister spent last night with me. She’s an Essunscum supporter turned Carlscum by marriage.
Talk about twin devils.....
Anyway, this morning she pronounces her love for Daisy and the influence he has on the young recruits........
Poor me. What can I say but that he was awesome in our last Premiership race.
Can’t bring myself to state how he farked up his rehab post ankle injury.
Anyway, she proceeds to blame Malthouse for Carlscum loss of Betts, and any Indigenous player.
I simply bite my tongue. There is blood.
How hard a morning I’ve lived through.

Family, is family, but a relationship with half an Essendon supporter plus 1.5 Carlton supporters? Those are not people I would like to socialise with.

He's happy that he sucked in a club to give him a contract for $750k a year over 5 years and fair play to him I guess. It hasn't quite panned out as he'd hoped but he's still picked up a solid chunk of that cash.

Was one of our best in 2010 and to be fair we wouldn't have won a flag without him (he was best on in the drawn GF).

Now he's at a s**t club that's finished below us every single year and is a somewhat bitter shadow of himself (maybe Mick's influence rubbed off on him a little?) who can't even kick the pill nowadays. I'd feel sorry for him if it weren't for the $2.25 mil (*out of a total of $3 mil) that he's bagged in wages over the past 4 years while he has produced this:

Still I'll always have a soft spot for him - he was easily my favourite player when he was flying in the black + white.

He didn't star but it was quality

Wasn't that great a game. Nothing like his form of 2010/2011 , I think you are just bitter he is gone. He is a list/salary cap clogger. Glad he ditched us for the blues. Loved him at the pies , but his attitude when leaving/after he left is pretty immature

You just wonder, he could have had a career alongside Pendlebury like Martin is having around Cotchin, but he messed up.

At least we got a flag with him.
Yeah alright except that unlike Martin he copped a few career threatening injuries. Makes a big difference. Sure he left us for someone else for bigger money etc etc, but he ain't no Martin, nor is he any kind of spring chicken. Your Martin comparison is a bit over the top.

Who cares? Dale does. I hate the little prick, would boo him til my lungs collapsed but it gives me great pleasure to know we are still in his head.

He'd be just as happy to know he's in the head of some of ours.

I truly don't understand this vitriol towards Thomas (or for that matter a number of Pies players who move to other clubs). A premiership player (a rare breed in itself) who has been struck down by injury.

Because he is a smart-arse, that's why. Nobody likes a smart-arse!

If they continue to pot the club. They could take a leaf out of Dawes behaviour. So they can put down the club constantly and you will be happy, clapping your hands saying "it's alright he is a premiership player"?

You may have taken it a bit too literally. He is no martin but you have a flashier daisy and more responsible Cotchin.

Being a premiership player does not excuse him from being a dickhead, sorry, the manor of his leaving was very poor to say the least

Sang the Carlton theme song at our mad Monday in his final year.
That was it for me.

That's ironic calling me bitter when it's everyone else getting their knickers in knot over some tongue in cheek comments.

Nice try though:)

Daisy was clearly not enamored with our current coach and he did not leave the club in the classiest possible way.

In this instance though I agree with others that his comments were tongue-in-cheek; he's smart enough to know that he's no longer a star of the competition and that we have just as much s**t on him.

Lighten up.
