It’s not a top 5 pick if you don’t know it’s a top 5 pick. Hawthorn could easily jump up 10-12. Plus WC want picks now, not future picks. They’re not in position to be waiting 12 months to bring in elite talent.

I could see the eagles preferring 2, 15, 17, 18 over the hawks offer if we rate Kerch higher than the public does, at least when comparing to Reid. I can see the value in securing ZZ, collard, etc, even though wed be missing out on Reid.

I dunno how this would leave our Round 1 lineup, almost have too many kids to fit in

O'Brien's already said they'd only take 4(maybe 5) this draft.

The have the picks in the 20s and 30s to target local talent.

Only extra I'd see them making a play for is another earlier pick to target Collard, which can be done by bringing a pick forward from next year, if need be.

What types of players would WCE be realistically targeting with mid/late teens picks with only Collard and Curtin expected to go top 20 this year(if Collard's flight risk issues are ignored by clubs)?

Don't be lazy and say 'WA' kids when WCE have historically ignored locals over interstate players deemed better. They will 100% not trade out pick 1 to reach for WA players in the first round.
