Player Watch Pick #5 (2018) - Connor Rozee (AFL Captain)

Looking forward to Rozee becoming a full time midfielder. Not sure if that will be this year but will most likely become one.

Wingard was a clearance specialist, very very good at it.
Peak Rozee may not reach the highs of peak Wingard or peak R. Gray at clearances but has a more round game. A more complete midfielder skillset.
If one of our other youngsters develops as a small forward at the same time then as a team we will improved a lot.

Rozee looks like the kind of body that will gain muscle and mass quickly if he puts he work in. He was already rather defined and noticeably bigger this year compared to last year in the SANFL. He won't be pushing s**t uphill with his genetics.

If you can impress Brett Montgomery, you must really be doing it right.

It might just be me but these sorts of comments about Rozee seem like a not so subtle dig at Wingard. I'll probably always be wary of comments about Rozee's professionalism as at this point I don't see him being exceptional one way (i.e. Boak) or another (i.e. Wines), especially since he's the Wingard replacement.

Russell Ebert was Port's leading goal kicker in his rookie year in 1968.
True - he replaced Eric Freeman at FF who toured England in 1968. Guess Charlie was effectively on a non playing tour of Port's rehab facilities for most of 2019.
