He would have to be stupid to take that on. Even if he joined them after they restocked full of young talent it’s a poisoned chalice.
They worship everyone at their club as if they’re gods until s**t goes wrong and they need to point the finger. Look at the vitriol at Ben hart recently over covid gate, rendell when they sacked him and so on. Trigg is a great example. When they go to s**t they’ll push someone under the bus.
If bass goes there it will ruin his club legacy eventually.

Lol at them talking up Papley and then he spuds it up completely. He's a good player but I don't reckon he's the GOAT like everyone is making him out to be this season.

He’s having a great season but like hell I would want him at port. He’s exactly the kind of player who will be flying when you’re s**t and look average when you’re successfully playing good structure and winning games.
