It's really strange how the Crows are doing this dance of "we're still deciding whether it will be Nankervis or Berry that plays". That's not how things have ever been done before... nobody names a squad of 24 and decides on the day which one is playing. What are they waiting to see before making their minds up? Weird.

You could understand a tall or small, but yeah it's very odd.

Crouch's omission will be covered by giving Peatling and Draper more time in the engine room, with Draper's sub role covered by one of Nankervis or Berry.

Rowe in the interview asked about Pedlar, Kelly said that Pedlar was in the discussion, as was Brodie Smith(???), but that they're all just so super impressed by what Murphy is doing that they couldn't leave him out. He then mentioned a bunch of players who are all impressive in the SANFL at the moment, but it was notable (to me at least) that he didn't mention Taylor or Dowling, who I would have thought are the next two in line after Nankervis.

He then mentioned a bunch of players who are all impressive in the SANFL at the moment, but it was notable (to me at least) that he didn't mention Taylor or Dowling, who I would have thought are the next two in line after Nankervis.

Rachele out and removing ANB from the forward line and adding him to the midfield is a pretty big change to our structure.

Peatling would be the go given he has done these run with roles before & already in our midfield.

That's the beauty of it, we've only played 1 official SANFL game. Left Dowling out to be emergency as next man up, put Murphy in the guts against pushovers, then pointed to SANFL form as the reason to select Murphy over the guy who just last week was next man up.

If only Nicksy's game day tactics were as astute as his tactics to get Murph in the side.

I said something like he's actually good at stoppage, which he is. He's genuinely not bad inside a contest, he just isnt very good anywhere else, and definitely not as a small forward. I reckon that was said about 2 years ago??

Could have been any one of the last 4 years we thought we'd seen the last of him!

He's in real danger of wasting away what should have been a great career. DE is a concern, especially when you consider theres more kicks than handballs in the tally.

There’s also 6 clearances from 16 disposals. That’s an unreal ratio, and not in a good way.

You obviously didn't watch the SANFL last week, Pedlar's disposal especially by foot was diabolical, not to mention he looked to cramp as well. His lack of composure is becoming a real worry, it's OK to approach everything like a bull at at a gate but once in possession ffs use it with at least a modicum of composure. 7 kicks 10 handballs @ 41% DE

No way should that type of performance against West (witches hats) put a player up for AFL selection.

Nothing, there’s no way Murphy should be coming in ahead of the likes of Taylor or Pedlar. I was just responding to someone that thinks that it makes a difference to winning or losing.

I bet you believed the exact same garbage when selecting VB in defence in a round 1 matchup against a 3 tall Roos forward line cost us the game. ‘Oh but if everybody played a goal better as a group, VB being a liability wouldn’t have mattered’. Well, guess what, it did and deliberately making your 23 weaker st selection will ultimately cost games.
