We shouldn’t be surprised by his ongoing symptoms or the club’s decision to give him as much time as necessary.Wow interesting to hear about the 30 days. Still a bit of a worry to hear he still has symptoms
Anyone who has sustained a major concussion and is being honest with themselves, would be experiencing some symptoms 3 weeks on.
The sad reality is that until this year, we would never have known if a player had symptoms in week 3 because they would likely have already been back playing the week before.
Players concerned for their position in the team or their reputation would be suiting up the very next week or a week later at the very least. The decision to play post concussion wouldn’t have been about whether they SHOULD be playing but whether they COULD.
if he hasn’t played before the bye then go man your panic stations but for the next few weeks let’s just trust that we’ve got a player who feels confident enough at his club to be honest with his symptoms and a club showing the duty of care necessary to make the decision to play based on whether he should be out there not could.
