Doesn't matter who is rucking if you are outnumbered around the ball all game. DeGoey killed us, same with Daicos. Quick and fast and they mopped up everything. We were plodding around the ball in comparison. Yes Nank had an average game, but it wouldn't have mattered because were were fumbling and under pressure around the ball all game.

Smashing it out of the area to space would have helped ease the congestion and away from De Goey and Crisp. Nank virtually kept putting it down their throat.

To be honest Richo and the rest of the commentary team Wailing on about Collingwood all night really puts a bee in my bonnet..
all super horny about Collingwood mention the Tigs once I dare ya...
Pisses me off....Cumberland should of played since round 1 dimmer you spud...
rd 3 wgaf

Thought Young did okay on Mihocek. He's a tough player but he was up his clacker all night.
Ross was creative with the ball and looked very composed. Not sure why he wasn't given more of a run in the guts in the second half because he was far from our worst in there early and we had to try something. Baker should have been in there also given he is a wet weather specialist, but maybe he was too busy saving us down back.

bolton definitely is one of the best space creating mids in the comp, as a forward really only speccies and crumbs and bananas and sik goalz and making the oppos look slow and stupid but nah yeah, well... yeah i rekn shuffle the ol magnet as they sayyuh just the connection smugbottom said as ghe fugn ogled our Goddess, the alluring Abbey Holmes- her bone structure like chiselled velvet over adamantium, mesmeric and bewitching, knowingly drinking up sideys thirst like the dirty lil succubus she is...

Very proud of our effort tonight. Gutsy. We had 4-6 of our potential best 22 missing. Let the Pies celebrate but they have peaked too early. Their fans just don't know it yet. 😎

Just out of curiosity?
If we'd won and been undefeated at 2.5 wins, would we have peaked too early???
Or would you be telling us we're back.
What I saw from the Pies was a team who got the match under control quickly and played it on their terms and didn't expend a whole lot of energy.
There's plenty more in their tank.

Too many slow midfielders now. We need to make sure we have at least one pacy player in each centre bounce.

Yep. Pies are way better than us at this stage. Anyone who laughs at them as being a "March Premier" is smoking heavy copium.

We’d kill for some smalls of the quality of butler and Castagna. MRJ and Mansell are dreadful.

3 talls gave us no chance. Sometimes this match committee out smarts itself. Raining all week, nah * it let’s go with 3 200cm players.

Ryan did a couple of things in common ruck. For his development I liked the selection. Cumberland as sub was a very good call..
First QTR the ball lived in their fwd 50 we were lucky they were inaccurate. Our backline was amazing.. young hasn't had a bag Kicked on him. Hes been a revelation. Hugo had a passable one I thought.
Our mids could get their hands on it and when they did they butchered it. Graham, Prestia, Tarranto. Pickett and kmac not good either. Their stats okay but Completely smashed..peak KB wouldn't have a kick up the fwd line..
3rd QTR. Mansell kicks goals. And pressure was ok comparatively, Clarke was barely okay but good development.. MRJ is just getting caught.
Tries. Bolton was good and Ross was ok.

Cumberland did enough to retain his spot.
Collingwood. Wow. I don't even know half their players but they look like good quality players..
14 points.
I like that we are starting slow and getting into games late.

Grimes looks like his has had his legs replaced with jelly sticks. His kicking is nothing short of abysmal and struggles to kick over 30 metres.

Vlastuin to me looks continually punch drunk, it's like he has never recovered from the Danger hit. Just does some very dumb things which is unlikeliest him, you used to have confidence when he had ball in hand. To be honest I can't look these days if either of these guys have ball in hand as I just expect a clanger sooner than later.
Agree but Vlas has always done one or two dumb things. Usually early in the game. Vlas still got 6 marks. Balta wow..
Grimes did seem to be on Elliott later.
The ball living in pies fwd half for first half. So I'll cut some slack.

Looking at fixture can't see us winning again till round 16

Are we tanking for a first round pick

First half Waa poor as Craig mcrae said before game with richmond it's effort over talent

We are a minimal talented list probs bottom 2 in that regard but we live on effort

First half showed how talentless we are and take away effort and it's a worry

Disagree. If you don't think Nank's ruckwork is an issue, you aren't watching. There is no doubt in my mind that a genuine quality tap ruckman would have helped us tonight, ESPECIALLY once Cameron went off. Rowan Marshall, Oscar McInerney, Max Gawn, Nic Nat, Jarrod Witts, Brodie Grundy, Rielly O'Brien etc would be dominant in the ruck contests for their side if they came up against what we came up against tonight and would have given their midfielders first service.
Nank is short compared to traditional top flight tap ruckmen so tap work is not his forte. He can't jump that well so he can't just transform into a tap ruckman.

he's at the bottom of that list.
So our footy is messy but Nanks own clearances make up for text book tap work.
Tarranto still equalled top for clearances.
Our disposal was appalling. Tarranto yuk
I'm surprised McRae didn't use McStay in the ruck won Brisbane a final

On the inside our Mids did okay but absolutely smashed on the outside
Lack of pace really showed and our guys who won it on the inside had no one to feed it out to

I feel Graham and Raplthsmithreally let us down in that department as those outside runners who should be working harder to get to contests
Pies out numbered us constantly

He didn’t say with Richmond it’s effort over talent
He said in the WET it will be effort over talent

I think Bolton is actually okay. When he was at the center we generally look good. We have to play him as a perm mid as he offers a different dynamic to Cotch, Prestia, Hopper, Taranto who are all one note

Out of th3m Bolton 8s the only speedster

. Wve a very flat footed midfield

They were smashing us out wide of the contest in particular. Daicos and co were just waiting for the ball to pop out and were too quick and clean for us no matter what Hodge kept saying.
