Why would we play Goddard any more? He is no longer part of our future. We are now officially in re-build.

Laverde is not AFL standard. He has been given heaps of chances and has not gone close to having a break out game.

Myers has no right foot and has lost the ability to kick long on his left. He is not a midfielders bootlace.

Hurley plays as though he just doesn't care. His kicking under no pressure is a freaking disgrace.

Tippa is playing on last years glory. He puts in for 5-10 minutes and goes missing for 20 minutes.

Zach Merrett has become so bad when tagged that he may as well not play any more.

In no particular order, we have

- No structure in the forward line
- No structure at stoppages
- No pace
- Terrible skills
- Not enough size
- No leadership
- Completely illogical selection
- No footy IQ
- No ability to arrest or disrupt momentum in game
- No ability to win the ball in tight

There’s more. Wouldn’t even know where to start. But things needs to be turned on their head - at this rate we’re headed for a wooden spoon. That’s not being the slightest bit dramatic.

Now we just need to hope that the message gets through to the club.

The coaching staff are useless.
The players are NOT playing for the jumper.
There is NO game plan.
The players do NOT care.
70,000 memberships does NOT make it a successful season. They have made a record profit off us this year, and have rewarded us with the most pathetic, pea-hearted, weak Essendon team we have EVER seen.
We played better than this with top up players.

I thank Worsfold for his effort in getting the club back together over those hard years, but he has very very clearly lost the playing group.
The coaching staff don't know how to coach these players. There is no continuity. No effort. No TEAM.

The lack of care shown for players who are obviously playing injured has to be effecting how the club is operating.

This is the weakest group effort I've seen from an Essendon team. Even 2006, when we won 3 or so games for the season; this, what we witnessed today, is worse. It's far worse.

I can't be mad at Carlton. They played, they tried their hearts out, and they deserved the win. When our club cant even get the basics right, ie. kicking, marking, holding a tackle, then we deserve every piss poor result we get.

There are no excuses for a performance like that. I've tried to believe, but I can't do it anymore.
We need a coach who can not only coach, but can draw the boys together. We need a coach who can make them believe that the Essendon Footy Club can be a force again, and one who spends time with them one on one to understand what makes each player tick. I'd guarantee that Worsfold doesn't know one thing about our players. They look like they're working an office job and it's late on a Friday afternoon. They don't want to work, don't want things to be done, and don't want to come away with that bonus. They just want their paycheck so they can go play golf and eat brunch with their girlfriends.

After our first few losses this season, I was in utter disbelief, but now I know. I can understand why we're playing so poorly. Why would you want to play for someone who doesn't give a shit about you? A faceless superior who puts on smiles for the cameras, but doesn't know how to work with our group?

You can see the boys celebrate a goal here and there on the field, but it looks pained, forced. It looks like they would rather be at home playing FIFA.

This isn't the Essendon footy club that I know.

This is abhorrent. Pathetic.

We need change, and we need it now.
