Milestones:

Unintentionally but traditionally, we missed a few milestones this year, so we’ve tried to summarise them all in here.

Round 16: Vs Furies (away): Roys Lost 102 - 108

Somehow, despite losing every game for the season, top spot was still on offer for the Roys. I’m not sure if we ever have finished on top, but that’d give us an excellent chance to go out dramatically in straight sets….

After 26 seconds, drastic changes were called for with the score on 0-0 – with fitzroybowiedog coming on to replace JackNah_8 . After a few more minutes, Beandip and windyhill swapped spots. Why – ask Mobbs , he wrote the bloody code…

These changes took immediate effect, with the Furies racing out to an 8 goal to 0 lead in the first term, before hotchilli stepped up and slotted one. Barrels pulled another one back late, but we were well behind at the first change. The Furies then went to sleep, as Supersuns and TedDougChris slotted majors, followed by Zevon and TedDougChris (again – WTF ??). Insulted, the Furies woke up again to lead 85 – 40 at half time. Wosh and Mooch attacked the goals early in the third, TedDougChris attacked the goal post, with the Furies leading 97 – 70 at 3QT.

By this stage, Allikat was absolutely furious and sick of it all – 3 goals one behind in a short sustained burst put the Roys right back in it – trailing by only 8 points with 15 minutes left to play. But sadly, the Roys were distracted by how awesome Allikat was and forgot to keep playing, so after she nailed her 4th goal for the term, we slightly fell asleep and ended up one goal behind at the final siren.

Best: JackNah_8 was very good here as well, backing up her outstanding form from last week. Allikat (4 goals, 103 DT points) was also excellent, as was Dingster, Zevon, Supersuns, Wosh and hotchilli.
