Apart from my buddy coming back in, who else will play??

(And let's be honest, I really only started this thread so I could post this pic...;) ):

:D

But seriously, they seem pretty keen to get the "team chemistry" thing happening, best team on the park, have a shot at the cup, develop a winning culture, build confidence etc, etc... so I don't think we'll see too many young'uns get a whole lot of game time. That said, we had 9 guys with less than 20 games play last week. Would like to see Drummy get a run, and Dunn too if he's fit. CC seems pretty keen on Happy this pre-season, reckon he'll get an extended run during these games. Black's back, The Worst this morning said Polly looks ready too, despite what the TV news was saying last night...

Who do you reckon will be in the 24?

I would say Haines and Headland may be doubtful starters. Polly will come back in if fit, that may push someone like Warren out. I'm still unsure about the 3 ruckman yet if it is 38 as predicted I can see how it may be an advantage.

Haines has been ruled out with a calf tear - a 4 week injury apparently. Poor guy.

OUT
Haines (injured)
Headland (injured- yes I know he is okay, but rest him anyway)
J Carr (injured- ditto with Headland)
Bell (old Bugger)
Parker (even older Bugger)

IN
Black
Pavlich
Polak
Dunn
Duffield

I wouldn't mind seeing Cookie get a run this week. Collingwood don't have a super fast mid-field and I reckon he derserves his chance to show if he's still up there or not. Only missed the first two games lat year because of that dubious suspension in the pre-season.

Please refrain from calling my buddy an old bugger, that is more appropriate for a Hawk or Saint.

He answers to the name of "inscrutable old bastard".
You look after your Buddy well, Grasshopper, but the impportant thing is Black is Back!!
Are you all going to the game? I'll be in the 3 tier, hopefully out of the sun...wouldn't want to get out of control this week...the Collingwood grannies are a little tougher than those in Blue an yella!! :D

Too Many Clokes to have any chance

I didn't mean to scrute him. The young man is his usual impeccable self, so put him on the shelf until required, and throw the even younger ones in the deep end.

On a side note, how many opportunities for commentators did Freo give last weekend, with several Carrs, a Parker and a Walker all in the team playing against Ben Do-run-run Cousins.

Poor blighter can't catch a break. So many injuries, delisted twice, only a handful of games since 2002. I'm quite amazed with his (and Webster's for that matter) perserverence. If he still manages to find his way into games this season and becomes a regular I'll give him a standing ovation.

Duffman!!!

Very happy to read in the Worst today that Duff will play on Sunday. I really, really like this bloke's game and I wish him all the best for his debut! :thumbsu:

Could Duffman be the Mundy / Peake / Crowley of 2006. The player who comes from virtually nowhere to be in the best 22?.

Lach 72, good photo, but I would love to see if anyone had a photo of Michael Mitchell over Greg Wikinson at Subi around 1985 / 86. It was a ripper.

NOt likely cause he's rookie listed. We'll need an injury before he gets upgraded.

Lach72,
totally agree with IP on your avtar. How did you get hold of the pic though. Ive been searching for years on the net and have not been able to find it. I can remember my old man showing me the photo when I was a nipper.

Point me to the right direction
