Yep, Ratten won his first B&F in 1995 and had zero Brownlow votes. That's probably a good example as he was a midfielder that played every game in a premiership winning side but managed to get donuts from the umpires.

Tom Barrass did indeed poll zero votes - which is not that impressive as 11 players polled more by themselves than the entirety of West Coast in 2022.

The only game I saw live this year was Hawthorn vs West Coast and he was clearly the best player on the ground. Very stiff.

Edit: I misspoke. Was easily second best on ground behind Breust.
