Carlton is full of downhill skiiers. Put them in an environment with greater expectation and more wins and things change quickly.

Then everyone is happy, Adelaide fans are pumped, Carlton are happy so GWS must be feeling a bit sad, unfortunatley we all cant win. But if we all feel we do then thats all that matters!

The Hendo deal in isolation was good for Carlton, the deal for the 4 players, is somewhat of a unknown, if it comes off SOS will not only become a legend onground but off aswell.

Who are the top 10 quality now though ? See that is the crux. The blues have given a proven game winner in Menzel with major upside for a player who cant get games at the crows, thats fact. plowman who is a talent but just cant get consistency with his football and 3 players that have so far shown there not afl standard. Now they may all do a Miles, in all honesty I hope so, but if they dont, you must make sure you nail each and everyone on of your draft picks this year to make up of the quality you have already let walk out the door.

You see, you have let go Bell ( well done) Hendo, Menzel, and Yarran...if the talent you bring in, just matches that talent void, you still finish 18th...if they are better then whats gone out and you nail the draft, you climb.

It is a great overall trade for Carlton - amazing in fact.

4 picks inside 21. Will be 5 when we get 12 for Yarran.

It sucks to lose Menzel but it is all part of the bigger picture.

Menzel is not a proven game winner. He averaged 9 disposals and under a goal in his third season. He's not that good.

You obviosuly needed a pick around the 28 mark to finish the deal and given you wanted Kerridge this was the best way to do it. Could be a win win for both clubs. Great trading by SOS I think in regards to the GWS side of things.
