Congratulations to yeetgoat and Gia77 for being the only tippers so far to achieve a perfect round (both scored 5/5 in Round 5 Division 3). good luck to all

Interesting as I haven't put a tip in this year.

Gday all, I see their is an inter league game coming up v an VAFA team and the Bendigo football league. Apologies if it’s been asked but surely it’s not a premier level squad being put together?

Why not?
It will best the best available B to D3 players.

Xavier thirds update:

Division Two North - Xavier beat Carey (a fully fledged APS side) by 111 - 129-18
Division Three North - Xavier beat Box Hill North (a struggling club who are relatively close to crisis mode) by 194 points - 209-15 - percentage 1455

Will there be an acknowledgement of these disastrous grading decisions by the VAFA?

Previous week Box Hill beat UHS by 20 goals. What will happen when they play? Crap VAFA decisions - lack guts to put them in the same divisions. Editorial is just plain wrong. Clubs have had 2 teams in the same div in the past. This will lead to forfeits. JUST AMAZING the VAFA preaches integrity of the comp through regrading and competitive balance and then don't do it. Could easily have taken the bottom teams from north and south to make a lower div. I would think that most thirds would willingly get up 15 mins earlier to travel further to have a chance to win rather than what is occurring now and for the rest of the season. Nothing wrong with divisions of 6 where you play similar teams compared to divs of 12 where you can't compete. I thought the VAFA mission statement was to encourage PARTICIPATION. This certainly doesn't.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEEE UP!

Read this weeks VAFA editorial ….. also read Thirds Men’s Div 3 North scores …🤔

The editorial essentially reads as "blah blah blah. We do whatever we can unless it's to the detriment of Old Xavs continually winning flags in the thirds."

The OX Crocs are a blight on the Thirds comp.

Thirds Div 1 in 2022, lost one match for the year and won the flag. >>>> Relegated to Div 2 in 2023 and Won the flag, losing 1 match for the year >>>>> Effectively relegated in 2024 and now unbeaten with a percentage of 350%.

Forget 3rds - Go back to Club XVIII.

3 grades, based on ability with promotion and relation based on feedback from clubs each year.

The thirds seems to either be an U/19+ comp or as some clubs use it a place where people can still have a kick without playing for sheep stations.

We have it as a team for people who have never played footy and for people who like you said, don’t wanna play for sheep stations. Probably have 6-10 guys each week that are in the 1st or 2nd season of footy.
Coach does a mountain of work keeping the vibes up after heavy losses
