Pretty sure that was their plan when they re-signed him. They keep playing him there as well so obviously he’s doing something they like.

He was but I’d have thought that was more to balance the the match sim squads given absences of players like Dean, Moore, Kreuger, and Frampton (of the top of my head) for periods of the preseason rather than an indication of intent. WHE also played defence, Ginnivan and Maynard had runs through the midfield. None of them are playing in those positions unless you count WHE’s brief sojourn into defence when Howe went down.
