You could do worse than having Ludeman as a backup, but still it's surprising anyone would want him. May as well have Paine if he's going to be in Melbourne.
Both ok as experienced glovemen I reckon

We'll regain Siddle and Hastings though.
Haven't heard anything, other than that he was still is hospital in Adelaide 11 days after the hit, so he must've been pretty sick.Any updates on Sam Harper's health?
This was tweeted almost a month ago:
fixedWe're chasing Tim ******* Ludespud? Oh for ****s sake Victoria. Our first XI next year should be:
Dean
Harris
???
White
Finch
Christian (ugh, still prefer a young player here)
Gotch/Harper (+)
Pattinson
Siddle
Tremain
Holland
Maxwell is a certainty to leave.
Christian is the one that is taking up a spot of a young kid, his performances are mediocre, well in to his 30s & will never play for Australia again
do we have an ideal replacement in the wings, or someone to poach?
Ian Holland has good numbers. I wouldn't mind looking at Wildermuth.do we have an ideal replacement in the wings, or someone to poach?
i don't follow the state cricket closely enough to comment about his ideal replacement!do we have an ideal replacement in the wings, or someone to poach?
Was just reading that young Puckovski is still struggling with issues as a result of head knocks...hope the kid gets back to good health
I'd bet my bottom dollar that Siddle is VC and Travis Dean will be up there too (highly rated as a leader in CV). Finch probably will as well.media is saying White is handing over the captaincy. Handscomb to be named captain (although his number of appearances will be low if he's still in the Test team). Who else do we have as captaincy material?
Had a brilliant shield season. Hopefully Bill acknowledges this by naming a pigeon after him
Feels like Holland's season has been very overlooked/underrated/dismissed by many. 50 wickets at a 20.78 average, 43.32 strike rate, 2.87 economy rate is seriously excellent, no matter what way you slice it, especially for a spinner.
Pretty much the same record as Chadd Sayers had this year (19.00 average, 43.19 strike rate, 2.63 economy rate), but bowling a lot less overs, so his wicket total was less. Chris Tremain also had a similar record (18.97 average, 42.31 strike rate, 2.69 economy rate), but again, bowled less overs, so the wicket total doesn't look as sexy.
I'm sure an interstate one will e offered to the kid way before CV even consider approaching himJonathan Merlo with a tonne for Aus U19s. Give him a contract!
wouldn't mind looking at Wildermuth.
