Not so much feel sorry for them, but understand what they're going through. Melbourne just couldn't win a close game last year. Carlton need to pull the pin on Voss and perhaps try get a few draft picks in.

I said at half time they're saving their energy for the second half (or more like third quarter), knew they'd come out hot to try to reverse the trend, but they only have enough Ampol petrol for about 1.5 to 2 quarters. They said its not fitness but I call bs, that plays a role.

Their physical fitness could do with some improvement, but it's their mental fitness where things really fall in a hole that they can't seem to drag themselves out of. So much of football is between the ears, and they've had these issues for so long now it'll be a challenge to get any sort of "win at all costs" mentality back into them so they don't utterly capitulate under the tiniest bit of heat.
