Low pressure game for sure but on that evidence I don’t see why he couldn’t play small more often
Was not low pressure for the back half.

He was awesome, rebounded and defended equally well and just tough as nails to keep going after that big hit.
He catches one Every. Single. Week….and just plays through.

Unless it breaks or dislocates, he’s going. Love it.

Subbed out against Geelong after playing on for a bit with an ankle issue
Love this fella to pieces.

Go back to the first couple of pages and you see words like ‘flighty’ ‘inconsistent’ ‘impact player’ and ‘x-factor’ and it just doesn’t reconcile at all with what he’s turned out to be.

He runs through brick walls, he’s smart, he plays the percentages and you know you’re always getting his absolute best.

Think releasing him to not play on a big key forward is really good for his intercepting and rebounding, it’s something he’s quite clearly capable of but it just frees him up that little bit more.

Got to be careful

He may get more marks, IM and disposals but its void if their big KPF like Hawkins is kicking 5-7 on Zerk

Not that many wouldve had much hope tonight

Rolled ankle last week, light duties, may still play on Friday
Defender Jayden Laverde will look to prove his fitness for Friday night’s clash with the Western Bulldogs.

The 27-year-old suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter of Saturday’s loss to Geelong and was subsequently subbed out.

GM of Performance Daniel McPherson said Laverde will be given every opportunity to take his place in the best 22.

“Jayden went down with an ankle injury and with a short turnaround to this game, the decision was made to sub him out of the game last Saturday night,” McPherson said.

“He’s pulled up reasonably well and has been on light duties since the weekend, so hopefully he’ll get up for the Bulldogs game. We’ll know more later in the week."

Absolutely ******* awful game from him. Highlighted by his attempted tackle on Gulden who is 175cms and walked through his tackle to snap around and goal. Deserves a massive spray tonight.
