I'm watching the T20 womens match between Pakistan & Thailand

Pakistan are a ICC Full Member but probably still considered something of a minnow nation amongst the bigger name having only won 46 of 110 T20 matches - then you have Thailand who are an associate nation and have predominately played against other associate nations such as China, Malaysia, Nepal etc (not too many games against the likes of England, India, West Indies etc and none against Aus or NZ), so they are a few rungs lower than Pakistan

Batting first, the Thai team just score 150 runs off their 20 overs - may not seem like much considering their opposition, but to score 100 runs was a benchmark the commentators were talking about early in the game and the smiles on their faces at the end of their batting was great to see. A real positive to take back to a developing cricket nation

Seems like most clubs are battling injury lists this off-season.

Crows, Port, Tigers, Saints, Swans and Eagles the least effected.

Bodes well for Flag favourites Tigers and Eagles.

Morning all.

Heard on the news this morning there was a coronavirus scare at Avalon Airport last night and some dude was rushed off and is currently in quarantine somewhere in Geelong.

Getting a bit too close to home....

It was yesterday morning - arrived at 11:30am, though initial reports at like 1pm said he arrived at '11:30pm' and a later report said '12pm'

We'll find out this morning if he's sick or not - but Geelong does have an infectious disease unit, my former manager spent time there after he returned from India & came down with typhoid

Though if you really want to unnecessarily freak people out - there's already confirmed coronavirus in Geelong prior to this:

Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) said greyhounds in Geelong have contracted canine coronavirus – a type that is not fatal and not transferable to humans. Cases of canine coronavirus have been recorded in dogs since the 1970s and present in Australia for a number of years. Infected dogs suffer with gastroenteritis-type symptoms including vomiting and diarrhoea. It is not linked to the current outbreak of Covid-19 which originated in China.

So that's why people have been stocking up on toilet paper!!

No toilet paper left in Melbourne, Geelong and here now. Then Kleenex put up a tweet saying they had soo much toilet paper in stock that no one needs to worry.

There'll be at least one restock in most places by tomorrow, but the logistics for rapidly disbursing this much product to keep pace with a literally irrational demand are kind of nightmarish.

How did toilet paper, of all things, become the item everyone decided they needed?

In times of (perceived) shortage, surely there are other more pressing needs?

Apparently people were thinking if they caught it and had to be quarantined for 14 days they'd run out of bog roll.

This is a couple weeks old, but still....

Armed robbers in Hong Kong made off with hundreds of toilet rolls worth more than HKD1,000 ($130; £98).

Toilet rolls are currently in short supply in Hong Kong due to shortages caused by panic-buying during the coronavirus outbreak.

Knife wielding men robbed a delivery man outside a supermarket in the **** Kok district, police said.

Police have arrested two men and recovered some of the stolen loo rolls, local media reports said.

The armed robbery took place in **** Kok, a district of Hong Kong with a history of "triad" crime gangs, early on Monday.

According to local reports, the robbers had threatened a delivery worker who had unloaded rolls of toilet paper outside Wellcome Supermarket.

An Apple Daily report said that 600 toilet paper rolls, valued at around HKD1,695 ($218; £167), had been stolen.

Might need to lock up your bog roll supplies, just in case...

Think I heard he was all clear?

Think I heard he was all clear?
He is - bay 93.3 didn't appreciate my comment on their post saying he's clear, and so they deleted this:

"So the repeated panic driven and scaremongering articles from yesterday weren't necessary..."

I had more than a few likes before they deleted it

And, 😂 - no one's meant to have toilet paper

A truck loaded with rolls of toilet paper has burst into flames on a Brisbane highway, as shops struggle to keep up with high demand brought on by coronavirus panic.

Local fire fighters said the truck became alight on a Brisbane highway at about 10pm on Wednesday.

Queensland Police told 10 daily the fire started due to a mechanical fault and the driver had managed to flee to safety.

I can imagine a whole mob badly burning their arms trying to salvage the precious TP while the driver is stuck in the cabin.
