Last week I pointed out how poorly McInerney's been kicking. Bedford accused me of rubbishing a player. Like he does when he rubbishes Campbell with no supporting argument given to back up what seems to be just a personal dislike. Well Bedford was wrong (again) and once again this week McInerney's poor kicking hurt us.
I won't rubbish Justin by saying he's not good enough or that he should be traded. I acknowledge that at his best he's a very good player. He seemed to hit a high before his injury last year. Sadly, he's not been able to recapture anywhere near that form, particularly in his kicking. Missing easy shots without pressure, missing easy passes to players, kicking awkwardly and sloppily.
McInerney's kicking like a very one-sided player forced onto his non-preferred. He needs a good block of training and a chance to rebuild some confidence in the twos. Can we afford to have him out? I think he's barely adding to our results so we haven't much to lose. A chance for someone to step up.

We learnt nothing from Cats loss. Nothing will convince me we are good enough unless we turn up in a Grand Final. Clearly, our best is good enough physically, mentally though...
Our drafting 'for depth' has been a shambles and I want to see how we go with a full squad back to take away that 'excuse'.

We have no composure on the flanks. Florent, Lloyd and JMac are consistently getting outplayed. Yes, our forward line is most probably one of the worst at present but these 3 are providing zero entering F50.
Florent (and Lloyd) special bombing it high and long. Let's be honest, they ain't getting dropped.

I watched the 4Q of academy boys and the Jenkins seem to know how to kick into F50 better than our VFL / AFL wings.
we’ve had lean streaks but the concerning thing at the moment is how we are losing.
The disorganization, lack of structure and quite frankly soft method in which we are playing, I haven’t seen this since before Rodney Eade this is really poor.

I got even more angry with heeney kicking to hamling on that last attack through the corridor. H yes he’s running in that direction but that kick was a low low chance of success while we had numbers to his right
I don’t blame him though. I blame the idea that hamling is a leading forward which he isn’t at afl level. I blame the previous 90 minutes of garbage so that we end up needing to take options like that.

I wasn’t in a good position but I thought he had kicked it and then I looked at him and his initial reaction was he’d kicked it but he sort of accepted the decision pretty quickly

He looked good whilst the team was competitive and atleast he runs at the footy. Thought he must have been taken off thats how much of a fall off he had when the VFL team went missing. Had a decent game against GWS atleast.
Problem is that I don't want to see Mitchell replace Lloyd because you are getting the same damn thing but with 250 games less experience. Bombs away and an unphysical game
Give me Snell Buller Hanily Guss in the best 22 next week and teach these guys that they are droppable

Coaching and tactics are all over the ship. Not sure what style we want to play. What are the standards that Cox and the leadership group tolerate (7 50s FFS). Captain effectively sidelined now for 18 months with no firm return to play date. Injuries galore.
Then once we take the field, no intensity. Can't execute basic skills. Poor goal kicking. Experienced players showing minimal leadership.
It's all a bit of a sh*t show.
