I'm not against it but I'm just saying don't expect much better than what Hamling is putting out and also don't be surprised if it's worse. Buller is not AFL standard.

As frustrating as it is, the reality of the situation is that we've hit the absolute limits of our depth and there's not really anything else to call on in the reserves.

That is why as long as the deal is in our favour I’d be inclined to roll the dice on JUH. This year just shows how much we have missed Logan if nothing else he’s a target

2025 is shaping up as a year where things are not right across the club.

Coaching and tactics are all over the ship. Not sure what style we want to play. What are the standards that Cox and the leadership group tolerate (7 50s FFS). Captain effectively sidelined now for 18 months with no firm return to play date. Injuries galore.

Then once we take the field, no intensity. Can't execute basic skills. Poor goal kicking. Experienced players showing minimal leadership.

It's all a bit of a sh*t show.
My worry is this is the list of players playing that should otherwise be dropped based on form;
Rampe
Florent
Hayward
Bice
Paton
Lloyd
McLean
McInnerney (although is finding it at least but effectiveness is awful atm)
Hamling if not played in the backline
Francis
Warner Jnr

I think we can carry developing players like Cleary, Warner and Sheldrick (every team does) but our depth hits its limits when we're relying on Hamling, Paton and Francis imo.

And some of those players who are currently underperforming (Lloyd, McInerney etc) might find they work into the game easier with the knock on effects of the opposition having to focus on Gulden.

Maybe I am being a grump if i look at Cleary, Corey Warner , Sheldrick not one of them have shown me they belong.

Wicks though has emerged so that's one.

I don't know, playing shit just sucks 😂. That Essendon team has no business being up the ladder

I'd rather pay doctors to work on Logan.

I generally don't care what players are like off the ground , but we already have a piss poor attitude around the club- arguing with umps, lack of discipline - don't need a flog there . I also don't think we have the leaders we used too to bring him to where he needs to be

C Warner dropped his head for a mark a shit himself in the first.

Think you need a better distinction than C for the Warners 😂

Cleary to me shows definite inside mid ability to be developed.

Has this ever been a thing. Blown up bullshit imo

If that’s the case Barry would never been a swan and we don’t have a flag in 05
Recruiting JUH will either be a master stroke like the recruiting of Lockett and Hall or sink the club like the recruitment of Fevola and Beams did to the Lions.

Wait until these flogs see JUH kicking 60-70 goals a season for us for the next 8 years, we have no one on our list remotely capable of that. Don't be fooled by Amartey, Logan during grand final years kicking 40-50 goals. We had an unbelievable run last year. Was such an outlier.

People forget Buddy had his own demons early on in his career and even Jesse Hogan (look at him now). A fresh start in Sydney with strong mentorship will sort him out. Let's go. JUH is only 23.

I'd rather see the club back itself with elite talent than put with up with 2-3 more years of the way we played against Essendon.

We are knee deep into JUH don't you worry.

We should be I’m over being nice guys. Nice guys come last, clubs who take risks win. Do the Cats win more or less with Stengle…

I would rather have Logan fit and have a roaming JUH in our forwardline. If we are relying on McLean, Amartey types well can’t see either of them taking us to the promised land so to speak. Let’s put the off field stuff to the side and does JUH the footballer make us a significantly better side? He’s an AA talent forward when up and about
