Don't see how calling a spade a spade is being negative. How on earth can you watch the first half last week and say 'they tried their best'. This was after actually putting in the week prior, why does it take us to play GWS for the players to actually put in and I'm talking from the first bounce not the 3rd quarter. It's the collective too from the captain down to the last player. Apart from Grundy, Rowbottom and Chad can you name another guy who put in the whole game? There is the issue beside anything else. These players have got away (especially last year) of rubbish burst footy, it's not sustainable.
My sarcasm in my post must have been too masked. My bad

I'd honestly play both inside, I agree with you but yes. Honestly least they may give a toss rather than the other insides not caring for a half.
I think we're doing well enough at the contest but its on the flanks and forward of the ball were falling down. So it's a little counter intuitive but I agree - let's get Gus, Cleary and even Florent (still remember his on ball game v GWS a few years ago where he destroyed them) in there at times to free up Chad and Heeney to play on a wing or up forward. We need to give the Lizard some time out on Gulden's flank. Because unless we kick a few, we're not winning too many games.

I'd be fine keeping Campbell on half forward if that's where he's most comfortable, personally I'd rather see him on the wing with the ball in his hands over JMac and Lloyd but I can certainly see the argument for keeping him there this year while he develops. My main problem with Campbell as half forward is that it doesn't maximise his kicking ability, and our delivery inside 50 is so poor. Hanily probably needed a stint in the VFL, but he can be a pressure small forward and we need those badly.

Lloyd needs to go. 100% agree with this. His time is up. Paton was a wasted signing too.

Also agree that Jordon doesn't need to be a tagger. I'd be happy to see him as a defensive winger.

Sheldrick and Cleary need to be given a chance in the middle. Sheldrick has had some shockers sure, but he has improved and we should persist with him otherwise he'll just go the way of Stephens.

I think I'm just really sceptical of moving BC the minute he's actually playing well this year. I honestly don'yt get why we don't just go small and bring pressure forwards in, I swear these useless mids can start using the ball well like they are meant to rather than kicking an hoping, turning it over only for the Turning Circle of the Queen Mary in McLean trying to defend lol

Over Lloyd push Chad out to the wing, least he'd play on and run the ball rather than Lloyd and his stalling to ensure every single opposition defender is in our forward line

Agree on Sheldrick and CC

Blakey could easily play on the wing and for goodness sakes he's not a key defender we all know that. Why can't he be a winger? Our contest work only looks good in second halves, it's the first half where they don't care as usual.

Blues gonna be a hard task with no melican

McKay and curnow
Hamling will go back.......................no wait forward.................wait back.

OR

Francis will go forward.................no wait back................wait forward.............I don't know.....no idea like Cox!

I just know we'll win.

I questioned Campbells set shots last week and nothing has changed , had to kick that goal from that distance

I'd rather him at least take the shot, I'm fine him missing that, sure rather that than Lloyd's whatever it is lately.

Honestly how many is Curnow going to kick? Overs unders set at 5+ surely

Yeah, some of his kicking has been poor. I don't mind him getting less of the ball than a mid, because he's a half forward, and this isn't fantasy footy, but he's got to make the most of his opportunities.

Still I'd rather see him have the confidence taking that shot, yes he missed but the others were missing from point blank range so what is the difference.

Well yeah, most were using the ball terribly, but it'd be nice if one of our better kicks was living up to that label. I think his effort is there, and his general use improved as the game went on, but he's missing some kicks/shots you'd expect him to nail.

I don't feel that it will be us that wins it but rather I feel the Blues will trip over themselves & cough it up as they usually do after a good win.

They only need to kick 90 points to win, dead set Curnow will near do half of that. I have zero faith in our useless mids not kicking it to Weitering all night long

These guys out injured, surely some back soon.A hammy used to be 3 weeks make it 4 to make sure.Adams must come back in next game even if just OK in VFL on the week end.

I'd rather play Sheldick in the midfield than pick Adams to be honest

I'm fine with improvement with BC, I said it from the start of the year and many didn't love it on here, I knew we'd go back, we wouldn't get an injury run from heaven this year. This year for me was about seeing development and I have with BC. Have loved Bice too. What I haven't loved is the horrific coaching and selections, I mean seriously I won't blame Sheldrick if he says bugger this I'm out, stop playing him as the sub!

Agreed he has tried to give the experienced players time to get back into form but the injuries and selections have given them a complacency that they basically can't get dropped.

Time is now to make a line in the sand moment and drop a veteran for a debutant, season is cooked as you can't make finals with 11 losses and we have 4-5 designated losses atleast on the fixture left. Might as well see slightly worse performance from youngsters but get games into them and give the other guys in the side a big kick up the arse
