Sloane just had a corky, right? 8 day break, he'll be fine. Kelly might miss with the concussion.
Sloan had a high grade contusion according to Crows and did not finish the game. Not saying he will not play and his corkie is the same but do you remember Ainsworth, Hanley and St. Kilda Geary corkies?

If you are fit and you are best 22 then bloody well play.
It’s only a winter sport. We have only 15 games left.
If we are out of contention for the finals later on in the year then sure put players away, get their surgeries done and experiment by playing the youngsters and fringe players then as you have the carrot of a nice draft pick if our ladder position slides.
If Ellis is fit play him.
Rankine/Thompson are another story as they need some genuine practice and confidence building so they can then play First Grade feeling ready to rock and roll like we do at Cooly Rocks.

No changes , Swallow can come in later for young players when their form drop or injured players. A fresh Swallow will be a bonus if GC somehow make it to top 8 and play final.

We definitely need to keep him fresh at this point of the season - how many games has he played in the last 3 months?

Something about the weekend felt far more mature, I don't think there'll be a similar result this time.
Agree. Those games last year just scraped over the line, but this was one very different. Not just the scoreline, but the manner of how they played.

I'm confident that your mob will overcome the hoodoo and finally beat - and convincingly - the Crows this weekend. Would love to get tix but presumably the 2000 will go solely to Suns' members/partners/etc.?
Will be a very small percentage allowed for Crows - maybe for player family members or that sort of stuff.

In the Mix.

Skipper David Swallow will be available again after serving his one-game suspension and should come back into the side for the match against Adelaide on Sunday at Metricon Stadium.

Brandon Ellis will be striving to prove his fitness this week after managing a calf injury over the last few weeks and could add some more run to the side.

There were a number of standouts in the scratch match against West Coast who could also come into consideration for Round 3.

Will Brodie was one of Gold Coast’s best in the midfield and was named as an emergency for last week’s match.

Peter Wright is another in the conversation after performing strongly up forward against the Eagles’ reserves.

Defender Jack Hombsch was unlucky to miss out in Round 2 and could come into the senior selection frame to bolster the defensive unit.

Draftee Sam Flanders has been knocking on the door with superb pre-season form and played well in the scratch match, but could have had a bigger impact on the game.

Second-year forward Josh Corbett also impressed in the forward line with a handful of goals.
