Albanese - how long?

Albo is actually doing his job by staying under the radar, unwinding bad policy, knowing he will be replaced before the election.

The libs will be in trouble if they don't call an election extremely early as the pain of covid is yet to be felt. The longer they leave it, the deeper the hole meaning they set themselves up for "oppositions don't win rather governments lose".
Well they won't be calling it today considering they've just axed the covid supplement.

As i've previously stated, be more than a few lib voting " bludgers " right now feeling pretty *en stupid hey

corpse want him gone because they can't attack him personally like they can Tanya

RULE 1 - if newscorp demand something - do the complete opposite
Do they need to attack him personally? These are the last six months worth of preferred PM poll numbers:

If he's performing this badly against a smug, sneering sociopath, then there's no great need to attack him, he's doing a fine job of scaring off voters all by himself.

If it's so simple, perhaps you could elucidate how superannuation can be fixed without removing the franking credit refund.

firstly you have to understand franking credits, labor's policy and the current policy. In addition you have to understand the 1980's........which was where Labor wanted to return.

Why? Because in the 1980s it was easy to work around the franking credit issue by one of two mechanisms.

1) for business owners - utilising an elaborate scheme of credit vs accrual basis
2) for all shareholders - preference shares

Preference shares were an interest rate paid to the holder of preference shares creating an expense in the company (reducing or completely mitigating company tax) and creating a revenue to the shareholder without a franking credit. This income could be used to offset an actual dividend with a franking credit, meaning you retain the full benefit of the franking credit!

So given the policy is easy to work around, we can then look at superannuation as a separate issue to franking. The logical solution is to simply introduce an incremental tax rate on super based on both revenue AND AUM.

but this requires consideration of the actual problem vs political spin

Stay right out of the Republic/australia day debate mate. Everyone knows where you stand.

"Im sure these matters will be addressed by australia when the current monarch dies, although it will be terrible to lose such a great Person"

It worked for Hawke, and he died before HM. Much more current now

Reshuffle on for the weekend. Musical chairs so sad little Albo can hang around to the next election and get flogged.

Why are you attempting to talk down to the master race?

Labor's problem, which they seem completely incapable of coming to terms with, is that they are totally beholden to morons on Twitter and in the media.

If their Party was majority Joel Fitzgibbon, and not majority Mark Butler, they would never lose a Federal Election.

They try to pretend they are the Party of Bob Hawke, but they then act like the Party of Bob Brown.

Even as a Liberal voter, I can say that neither of the Abbott, Turnbull, Morrison Governments have been particularly good - but they are almost entrenched in Government because the otherside is so utterly clueless.

Keep pushing Climate Change and Identity Politics Albo. That referendum on Australia Day sounds like a real vote winner ...

Good response. We've got a government that hangs on by one seat with the former deputy PM questioning the future the coalition that's the only reason they're in power in the first place. But yeah, it's all about Albanese. If only we'd judged Abbott by the standards we demand of him we wouldn't have the s**t show we have now.

Albanese has not exactly set the world on fire in the last 12 months and it’s pretty normal that questions are being asked

Same thing is happening to Michael O’Brien in Victoria and Jodi McKay in NSW

Oppositions need a leader who can land some punches on a vulnerable premier/PM

The swing required to change government is negligible and this government's behaving like it's the end of history. I can cop arrogance from someone who's worthy but Morrison is an intellectual dud and we're lumbered with him at a time when we can least afford it.

How so? This sounds a lot like Liberal Party campaigning 101, LOOK AT THE LABOR LEADER!!!!!! At least he doesn't speak in f***ing tongues.
Because Albanese’s numbers suck and he doesn’t help them in Western Sydney or Queensland
If we're to judge by the amount of people at the last election who said they'd have voted Labor if Albanese rather than Shorten leading you'd expect them to win in a landslide.
You don’t have to vote Labor to be able to read polling data
