Not as open as the Women's draw, with only a few men in the running. You cant go passed Federer, he is the favourite. I believe Hewitt has a great chance, if the draw is kind to him, if he gets to play Federer in the final because he has every possibility of beating him. Hewitt is my pick, he will be even more hungry after the loss to Safin in the final in 2005.

Nadal is my pick. His game really suits rebound ace. If he doesn't win it this year he'll win it the year after, but in the mean time, I might slap a few gorillas on him.

Just on Safin, is he a confirmed withdrawal from this year's slam?

Nadal wont play and if he does he will be injured, I been puttin money on him till he finally cracked one.

This time I like Joacim Johansson as a roughy, man can he servie, also Ivan Ljubic or Mario Ancic are the three most likely IMO outside of Federer.

Nadal is in major doubt for the tournament, he pulled out of the Medibank International because of injury, so it's not looking good. Safin is also in major doubt, he’s been out of the game for almost half a year, and it looks as though he’s pulling another one of his disappearing acts.

I think Juan Carlos Ferrero will finally bounce back and make a major run in the Aussie Open.

No. He'll beat all these garbage opponents in the first three or four rounds, and he'll breeze into the Quarters. Once he gets there, he'll be up against a quality player and falter at the first real hurdle. He is a pretender.
your generous to say he'll be out in qtrs....first round for me. Stupid yank with no chance. Lleyts would kick his arse anyway. Go Aussie.

Yeh, but he always gets easy draws. And chances are he'll be on the opposite side of Federer yet again.

And Lleyton is really struggling against Vincent Spadea, he looks physically ill out there. Fight Lleyton!

A pretender who's made 2 semi's and 1 QF in the past 3 years there? Better chance than injured Nadal. Or is he too American for you and Baxter to have a chance?

Ancic is only good on grass, Ljucibicic yet to do anything at a slam. Hewitt, Roddick and Nalbandian are a better chance than those 3.

Did you even bother to read my post? He gets good draws, stays clear of the top player(s) until he reaches the Quarters. He is a good player, but not as good as some make him out to be.

I don't give Roddick, Ancic or Johannson any chance in the AO. Nalbandian's a chance though. Although I think he's better suited to the hard court.

What's Nadal's injury BTW? It'll be a bloody shame if he misses out. I really rated his chances....

Hewitt through in a gutsy win, just what he needed ahead of the Aussie Open, a tough match to blow out the cobwebs. Hewitt isnt arrogant, he is just straight foward and has self-confidence.

Please!!!!

Roddick is constantly getting easy draws in every major around the world. Just about everytime he faces a seeded player he gets kicked out on his arse. Luckily for him that usually doesn't occur until the QFs or later. Like others have sead, he's a pretender. He's been riding the luck of easy draws for the past 3 years. Eventually, his ranking will creep down the order, and he'll consequently receive more difficult draws. Once that happens he'll be eaten alive.

Oh right and Hewitt hasn't? Look at his draw when he won Wimbledon. Pathetic.
You said it yourself, he's gets easy draws because he's SEEDED HIGH. Why do you think that is? He's stayed top 4 since 2003. Must be doing something right. Sure Hewitt got a tougher draw last year, but at least Roddick didn't take "injury" timeouts in nearly every match he played.

Roddick played 1 seeded person is last year's Wimbledon.
Out in straight sets naturally.....

And, he was seeded 2nd in that tournament, which was an absolute farce. Just reeked of favouritism.

You might want to get your facts right there. T. Johannson, Grosjean and Coria were seeded. And he had the 2nd best grass court results for the past 3 years at that time, and justified. Better than Hewitts. Sorry but those are the rules for Wimbledon.

Nice one bigot. Roddick made the semi, final & final in the years of 2003-2005 (more evidence that he isn't a pretender) and won 3 straight Queens Club titles including a win over Hewitt
Hewitt was out first round, and 4th round in 2003-2004 and won no grass titles. Roddick's #2 seed was justified.
Agassi won Wimbledon in 1992, does that mean he should have also been seeded higher?
Nah, he's a stupid yank!

Then it was 2004 that Roddick played only 1 seeded player. Still, he had an incredibly easy draw last year.
