Hypothetical time given we have a bye. PurpleReign95 have posed this question on the bird app:



So I stole it from them and made a thread to employ the resident brains trust to see what they come up with.



What's your best team of players traded into Freo and your best team drafted into Freo? And a bonus one (to prove that I don't just steal ideas, I have my own) - what's your best team of players traded out of or delisted from Freo?

Fun fact: Peter Bell is eligible for all three teams

EDIT: so is Heath Black (extra fun fact: both Black & Bell are South Fremantle premiership players)

Midfield is pretty small for modern standards and would get thumped by drafted Fremantle (would probably move Bell to the forward line and Headland to the midfield for size reasons), but backline is pretty solid. Forward line looks good on paper but msot of the half forward line probably doesn't turn up on the day for reasons.

We never traded for Kepler - we drafted him into the side with Pick 69 of 2007 draft.

Similar names to what I had come up with (stupid work getting in the way), but I had Sam Collins, Rhys Palmer & Hayden Crozier in the mix as well

I'm thinking of it more as an exciting cross-promotion opportunity rather than blatant plagiarism of PurpleReign95 which, let's be honest, it really is (the 'yoink' gave it away).

Fair shout too. I tried to limit players to one team only though so put him in the draft team

Ok so I couldn’t find any small forwards we’ve traded/de listed during the last 7 years, but it’s a pretty good team nonetheless.
 
I am surprised the number of people going Grover > Pearce for the drafted team's full back. Liked Grover and he gave his heart and soul for the club, but he gave away a lot of speed and height away on the line.
