If obrien is up to it, obrien plays but Jacobs can't be judged for that game on what we see.

Agreed. I like Kelly. This year he has shown speed, knows his roll and can mostly be relied upon. If he goes along with say Keath and Hartigan that then becomes a big chunk of our defense that needs to be replaced. And lets face it Talia is starting to get long in the tooth. I hope that Kelly stays.

Watching Douglas botch entries inside 50 and then watch Gallucci sitting in the twos where his greatest strength (and one of our big weaknesses) is delivering the ball beautifully inside to our forwards is annoying.

I'll bet his rhythm is interrupted by not being at a bulk of contests, and he is ineffectual playing elsewhere given he does not have the skill set.

Neither of he nor Jacobs to impact whilst resting in the forward line.

My thoughts are we played Jacobs every game for pretty much the whole game for too many seasons. He was a lone ruckman. I think the club could easily fall into the same trap with Rob.jacibs is okay in goal. Rest him up forward while Rob takes on Grundy. Swap them until Grundy is exhausted. I thought Jacobs Tao work last week was at least for the most part to the advantage of our mids. This is still an area which Rob neeeds to get to. It’s not goodnight nurse for Jacobs yet.
