I am with you on that StingBitten. It is a twist in the Treacy debate. I touched on Lobb earlier. We have been wanting a tall forward line since Pav, and even then it was not that tall - we basically turned backs into forwards, and forwards into backs.
My point is, now we finally are getting a real structure ? I recall heavy debate over Taberner getting dropped, week in and week out. The track record with Tabs in was quite obvious to many of us. Key forwards have bad days - look at stats of any key forward from Tom Hawkins to Charlie Dixon to Darling and Kennedy to Franklin. Only a lot of these teams are comfortably in the top 8 if not top 4 - meaning more goals. It is not the key forward either - it is the team.
This game is an important Derby. It is a clutch game, and there have not been many in recent history with so much on the line. To give players an opportunity in such a match gives them a sense of loyalty to the culture in this state and for the purple princess machine. Personally I want Treacy there with a license to kill (figuratively - I do not want him to actually kill anyone.
Now I can see Sturt as a very able player, and one consistently kicking 2-4 goals. It is a tough one for the coaching staff. For me Treacy is in. I can see him kicking a few goals and going beast mode at Perth Stadium.
As for Pearce, Hamling and Cerra - well how about we cross that bridge when or if we have everyone available. We are having a great year, and it comes down to the deepest list we have had perhaps ever.
I really want to win this game.

I think he was very lucky he went to ground, I’m sure there was more to come from MJ to Gaff at that moment.
Johnson had the chance of a perfect square up for his last game but RTB stopped it...
I saw RTB on Footy Classified recently and you could see that deep down he wishes he had let the boys off the chain that day..I know I do...
I think we need Josh Carr to give the pre match address this week.....

What we need is for this game to be about more than 4 points again.

I say "Get stuffed Ross". This game is where bragging rights come out. This game gives us a beautiful quiet Monday morning. This games gives us the right to wear a smug little smile on our faces while we get every excuse under the sun why they lost.

Legit we need to meet in a final to bring the hatred back. Even after the Gaff punch the clubs were too friendly afterward. How different would the rivalry be had we met in the 2015 GF? This is the year. We will meet in a final, an elim final, 6th vs 7th or so.

How dramatic was Gaff here, he fully acted like he was in a car crash and had to be escorted off the field by trainers and then he came back on again no problem. w***er
I can only imagine how badly Johno would have wanted to run right through him but pulled his punch last second To avoid the tribunal.

One thing in Treacy's favour is that he has played those pre-season scratchies against West Coast, so he has a rough idea of what to expect.
One was against their b-defence where he dominated and the other was against their full defence where he struggled but we had also lost Lobb to injury early in that match - and this week their defence is somewhere between their A and B grade.

It also looks possible atm both team will finish close to each other. So it is a potential 8 point game as well.
I want us to be 5 & 2. I don't give a shit about anything else apart from the four points.

You really think that them being friends stopped the Eagles last season? That has no bearing on what either coach will tell the players. Both teams need this win for different reasons. We need it to be taken seriously and to break a horrible losing streak. You need it because you were humiliated last game and want to earn some pride back.
I shared the same thoughts a few pages back. Got many dislikes. Maybe we are just ahead of our time....or not

Watching on the couch and they're doing the assessment on the scums game, I knew it was bad but **** they were atrocious. It was like watching Kyrgios when he basically threw that game and arrogantly have up. **** I hope they bring some of that form this week. Btw Notacluey is cooked

Everyone seems to think he’s cooked, fat, unfit and useless so why would you.
We have won three in a row so I doubt that a change like that is going to be on the cards. I certainly hope not.
The biggest factor in us winning has been Fyfe back in the midfield as his main focus. That has been supported and enabled by an improvement in the structure of the forward line, especially the maligned Lobb and Treacy to give balance.
