Please don’t tell me we’re reverting back to Cordy forward.Cordy stuffed our defence structure last week.
This week he can do it to the forward line.

So why have West and Schache been omitted.
Schache seems pretty obvious. Zero impact when we expected Timmy's replacement to at least have some impact. That's papers stamped for me.
What about West? I believe it's for, in large part at least, a me first not team first attitude (if I was being generous I might proffer self-delusion...but generosity is not my strong suit) from a player on the periphery. The alternative is that better players became available and he'll come into consideration at the pointy end if we're decimated by injuries.
He’s had a few and it’s a concern. What’s lost in all of this is that English misses a second week with concussion. Really hoping it’s not bad...
Carltons odds will shorten quickly after this selection.
50/50 game now imo

That's my reading. Zero tolerance. But then again, I think McNeil is a better player, and he's available.West it has to be the selfish and also undisciplined nature of his game last week.
English would be failing the concussion protocols or he would be playing.
Not a case of us playing it safe he simply isn’t allowed to play

Surely there is room for both though.
I don't like dropping players after one week as a general rule, especially someone like West who has been absolutely tearing up the seconds. And when there is a guy in JJ playing the same role who hasn't got a touch in a month.
Playing a bad game is different to playing outside team structure/rules and I think some of the burning team mates and undisciplined frees would have been what made him go out.
JJ has been named on the HBF for this game (not that that's the be all and end all). Last week we looked very cumbersome getting it out of the back half and off half back. Could rarely break a line. perhaps he's been repurposed for this game in the continued absence of Williams.Surely there is room for both though.

McNeil, Scott and?4 blokes in this team tomorrow I’d nearly rather play without
And it isn’t Dale or Cordy.

McNeil has speed, goal sense and seemingly endurance. Perhaps the big guns are doing enough early and as fatigue sets in he becomes prominent...and he's unselfish. I've liked all his games to date. We missed him last week (but may not have been enough anyway).
How come? I’ve tipped against us but that is mostly based on superstition not team selection. We are losing tomorrow
I also like McNeil I think his body good upside his only 19 after all.I'm happy with McNeil. I think he plays a role and has generally improved every game. He isn't fumbling as much as early days which is a sign he's being more accustomed to the pace. He deserves more games.
I don't know how the mix works if JJ goes back but if he is in the team I would prefer him off half back. He looks absolutely lost forward of the ball
McNeil, Scott and?
TBH I'm not sure how many more games JJ plays for us because with a fully fit squad he's vulnerable. However, we have to be able break a line out of defence in more than one way. There was no run there last week and Williams wasn't there to compliment Dale with long, accurate and zone breaking kicks. I think it's possible JJ is the Plan B escape route/counter pending BWs return.I'm happy with McNeil. I think he plays a role and has generally improved every game. He’s already had one or two other concussions, apparentlyWhat’s lost in all of this is that English misses a second week with concussion. Really hoping it’s not bad...
