Don’t know if it’s Scott shooting his mouth off or not but what I will say is this. I am getting a bit sick and tired of blokes like JJ staying in the team each week on the back of performances with next to no impact while someone like Rhylee strings good 2s form together and is expected to come in to the team and have a blinder or face immediate omission. He was very poor against the Tigers but what better way to challenge him than to say: “mate, we know you’re better than that, so we’re giving you an opportunity this week to show that last week wasn’t who you are”.

Its a bit sad when you are so involved in your sons life that you feel compelled to carry on like a parent at an under 9's game.

West like Schache havn't been scapegoated for last weeks game, they've been made to pay a price for their lack of composure or impact last week.

Were they the only ones? Obviously not, but they were the ones with the fewest credits in the bank.
I just hope Rhylee's attitude is nothing like that of his father.

It’s a strange post all round. Firstly she should be conditioned to difficult selection decisions seeing Scott involved at the top level both as a player and coach for decades. Secondly why comment on other players like JJ and Schache and involve them into your rant?

I agree so guess what if my 14 year old daughter does not get the chance to play the whole game today in her football match and play in the midfield
I am going to go on her coaches facebook page and get stuck into him . For FKS sake West is not a 12 year old he is a grown man why is his daddy posting such bull shit

It’s a horrible way to conduct yourself on so many levels. Actually puts more pressure on his kid.

Will be good for West to play full-time midfield minutes in the twos this week. Along with Garcia. They are our next two inside guns

Here is an excellent point

Rylee was sh.t last week and his dad could do him a service by stop making excuses
I agree, it’s the comments of a dickhead, that’s what I was trying to emphasise but at the same time selection is a very frustrating experience for players and supporters. More clearer reasons given would help. Rylee played in the final against GWS two years ago, he sees someone like Anthony Scott come in, not play very good and keep his spot week after week. I can see why that would be extremely frustrating. Communication seems paramount.

The only thing I can think to explain selections is that players are given very specific roles, tasks and responsibilities that are not known or apparent to supporters or those outside the four walls.

Communicate this to supporters then. Because when they don’t do it properly we get grubs like Barret making stuff up.

I’m sure the players are fully communicated and it would be a pretty sh.t club that publicly airs the reasons why players are dropped. Public humiliation rarely works well in the long term

Not sure Rylees 2s form was all it was cracked up to be

Against GWS he was moved out of the midfield to the forward line after having little impact.Yes he played ok when moved to the forward line but his form was way overrated on this forum

Facts are he had a chance last week and played s.it and didn’t IMO appear to be playing a team game

Maybe we should ask Simon Cox if senior players were treated differently to emerging talent back in Westy's day.

What the post said wasn’t incorrect in anyway but if it was Scott he really should know better but he has always spoke to opinion so no real surprise if it is him.

Unfortunately Bev opens himself up to selection questions when he gives others chance after chance because they can run fast or inferred pressure or whatever reason Scott and McNeil get games

At least Damo will have something to talk about other than Juh

I'd love to know what JJ's specific role is other than to run around looking like an U11 kid playing his first game and being scared of the other kids on the field. Must be hard for the players putting their full effort in while playing in the reserves knowing all JJ has to do is get 2 kicks in a game and he keeps his place.

Thought it was pretty well known that Scotty isn't exactly the most stable character. Didn't he lose the plot when we retired him and hated the club for years?
Yep. Not sure about hated but there was bad blood.

As for Rhylee, there’s no use complaining that Scott and McNeil have had a good run. You don’t just overlook high draft picks and sons of club legends for laughs. Those two are doing whatever Bev asks of them. It’s a lesson for West, Weightman, JUH etc.

Sweet to ruck most of the game / Bruce to chop out and then Cordy plays forward? This selection has rattled me a little !

I tend to think The Bont will play forward a bit more, particularly when Bruce has a go at rucking. Cordy mainly backline backup

Might be a hard game to win

Good luck Go Dogs
