He was getting better and better at VFL last year , only saw a couple games live and he was very good in both.
He won’t leave anything in the locker room !

Agree King, even in the practice matches this year he was very good. Would have gotten a game earlier in a team with a lesser midfield. He’ll leave nothing out there you can guarantee it an old fashioned footballer.

I don't know a whole lot about him so I decided to do some research.

He was taken with our final selection (74) in the 2017 Draft after taking out Gippsland's B&F and finishing 7th in the Morrish Medal.

He racked up some pretty solid numbers in 2017 in the TAC Cup and could be on the radar in Fantasy comps based on some of his ridiculous tackle numbers. In nine of his 18 TAC games that year, he recorded 8+ tackles. This included games of 12, 13 and 14 tackles.

His obvious highlight was his match against the Geelong Falcons where he had 36 disposals, 12 tackles, 10 marks, 4 goals and 6 free kicks.

Last year in the VFL he was named in the best in 7 of his 18 matches. His standout gaming coming against Essendon where he had 35 possessions, 3 tackles, 3 marks. The following week he had 25 possessions and 7 tackles and was given BOG.

Porter may be the secret weapon to counter Rankine with his high tackle rate

Still don’t get why people are demanding changes at the selection table. We won the game and it‘s a standard 6 day break on top of shorter game time...

There’s nothing standard about this season, sure it’s a 6 day break but it comes on the back of a 5 day break the week earlier. It’s also the second time we’ve play 3 games in 11 days in 8 rounds. Add the lack of training, living away from home and the taxing fixture ahead it makes sense to manage the playing group

I get Tony Liberatore vibes off Porter. Because he's not the physical ideal, he gets written off, but just keeps presenting and producing the goods. Sounds like a ripping bloke, I'm gonna cheer every touch he gets. May just surprise many

Really hope Lipinski isn't dropped for Porter. I'd actually like to see him in a Wallis style role, mostly forward with small parts in the midfield.

Early in his career he was regularly kicking goals in the forward line and has natural smarts. Decent height, good mark, not particularly quick but is very effective at taking his chances.

If we are to rest players then id like that to be for the port game in adelaide on the monday. Understandable if they didn't take several players on an interstate trip with a four day break.

And if we are to rest players then it should be a fair chunk of the side.

These two games coming up are a must win. GC is a 50/50 game and Richmond are so underdone and whom we match up on really well. Play our best side for both those games and then if we are 6-3 we can rest players so that all our key players get a 9 day break to face the lions.

Hugely dependant on outcomes of the next 2 games. But if we are 6-3 and we absolutely have to rest players, I think the monday flight to Adelaide should have some of our stars unavailable.

What's people thoughts of the draw. Not great but not the worst. We don't really get a big break between games like most other teams ( except between 11 and 12 we get 8 days) but we also havent got a 4 day break. Reckon that most players who have reliable bodies should be able to play every game. Libba and older blokes like Suckling might need rests though

Great point.Now our depth can be used to great effect.No point burning players out.Which other teams willl.
Wonder how many players we can rotate.
Doesn't seem to be too many injuries.
Will they rest Bont and English fwd or just rest them?
Will they rest like for like.West for Libba for example?
Does Trengrove and Schache get a chance to redeem?
