That pick 24 was what we got with Gibbs for giving up 2 firsts. Carlton traded two similar picks for the McGovern pick 13 trade as we will have gotten from that 2nd involved in the Gibbs trade.

But no one will mention that when saying we gave up 2 1sts for Gibbs.

Technically it was 2 1st rounders for Gibbs, but fundamentally it was only pick 10 in a weak draft (who they drafted LoB who isn't developing as well as they thought) given pick 21 (before the bids) in a strong draft is equivalent to pick 16 in a weak draft, some could even mount a very good argument that pick 21 is actually more preferable pick to have.

And an added bonus was this pick actually allowed us to do the live trade with GWS and I stand by my analysis.
