Quite the historical World Cup it will be:

- First FIFA World Cup (men or women) to be hosted by two confederations (AFC and OFC)
- First FIFA women's world cup to be hosted in Asia-Pacific
- First FIFA women's world cup in the southern hemisphere

Eden Park will host the opening match, while ANZ Stadium (regardless of whether it's redeveloped or not) effectively gets the final by default, being the only stadium in the bid book that meets the criteria to host the final.

Locally, Coopers Stadium was a late inclusion in the bid book, so a few matches will be played here (with temporary seating to boost capacity ala the Olympics). None of the matches here will feature Australia one would suspect.
Apparently it's gotten us a $3mil upgrade toi

Well maybe the FA cup is something to look forward to in this dire season as an arsenal fan.

Revised A-League fixture released.

One of Adelaide United's home matches (against Perth) will be played at Bankwest Stadium. The other match (against Sydney FC) is to be determined (subject to whether the border to NSW/ACT will open on 20 July).

So our home game will be played in western Sydney.

Right.

Wigan in administration :(

12pt deduction likely. We are 8pts clear of relegation having won six of our last seven games, and 9 clean sheets on the trot.
So need to be 13pts clear with six games remaining.

What was looking to be a nice run to mid-table is now a nightmare.

At least we are experienced in survival (on many fronts this time).

Good to see Leeds back with the big boys, it's been too long.
What they've been through, albeit largely self inflicted.... They deserve to be there.

Bielsa is an EPL manager all over, theyll be fun to watch

16 very long years!!! Up since 3.30am and still buzzing.

A basket case for so long, finally got the right people in the chairs. Have a look at the passion and drive of the Chairman, CEO and Coaches, this was reflected in performances on field.

Some lessons for AFC perhaps?

Ive been a Bielsa fan for years, done a massive job.
I hope they are patient with him.
Would've loved him to coach the Socceroos, but I'm not sure he'd suit the group we have

Once bitten, twice still bitten.

Think we will go local for a while like most clubs
Heard during the week Juric potentially if Veart struggles.

Now hope for Millwall to make the playoffs and get promoted.
Unlikely they'd be good enough to make it.

Leeds and Millwall getting promoted in the same season would be kinda crazy though.

I don't mind that option.

The players seem to have taken to Carl though which is good
