Lions have now confirmed there was an off season incident in Vegas with a group of 10 players. The club has said that it isn't impacting the playing group, but there's the reason the Lion's look cooked due to disharmony in the ranks.
Might explain us as well... ;) Weren't some of our players on the same trip with Gunston?

This argument is kind of similar to the pill testing argument at festivals.

If the government sanctions pill testing, are they promoting illicit drug use or are they providing a service to hopefully stop kids overdosing?

Sure you can make an argument they are facilitating drug use, but the purpose of pill testing is to stop people dying. Same argument can be made for safe injecting centres - they facilitate drug use but that is not their primary purpose.

People are going to take drugs, it is inevitable. The AFL are trying to deal with that reality as best they can. Meanwhile the NBA, NFL, MLB, EPL etc. are all running their own programs independent of WADA - ie. allowing all sorts of substances.

Regarding your last point, blood oxygenises are not allowed in competition or out of competition so it is moot point. WADA can ban players at any time for using them.
Not the right analogy. Imagine you work in a national construction company that has a zero tolerance drug policy and enforced it through testing. But your manager, who has agreed to enforce the policy, screens workers before going on site so they can avoid testing positive to a workplace test run by the company. Clearly the manager is not applying the policy as he has agreed to and there is likely more drug use at this site than compliant sites as a result.

Looks like a horrible leg injury to Coleman-Jones - hopefully not a fracture but was sucking hard on that green whistle
Yeah poor fella - looked horrible. Probable achilles injury?

There are some terrible free kicks here. Umpires having a shocking night.
I don't remember ever commenting on poor umpiring even for a Hawks game but good lord how s*** is this umpiring? The Kangas are playing rubbish but they are playing against the Blues + the umpires.

This game is officially rooted umpire-wise. YouTubed the 1989 Grannie the other day. Based on today’s officiating, there were 572 free kicks in that game.
50 free kicks last night too. Ridiculous over the top micro managing umpiring. Let the game go for crying out loud. There will be an uproar soon because it's officially ruining the spectacle.

North were given an absolute free ride in the first quarter, apart from that they have played really poorly. You don't have a right to complain for being called for a throw if you threw it.
