Marra is a very special talent, to kick five goals in his break out game, not against one of the bottom teams, but against the reigning premiers in a tight game. He knocked the doubters out of the park. So happy for him and his family.

Was a complete game too.

Contested pack marks, lead up marks, open play inside 50’s and goal assists, goals from open play, goals on the lead and goals from uncontested marks after getting clear separation from his opponent inside 50.

And then of course, the one step goal from 50 that sealed the game.

He’ll have poor games moving forward where he drops everything and can’t get involved around the ground, but last nights game will be such a boost for his self belief. Confidence is an amazing thing in our game and he’ll get so much out of that performance.

He's such a fluid kick of the ball who never seems to try and kick the cover off the thing.

His field and goal kicking were just sublime tonight.

He oozes class, it has just felt like he’s not physically developed enough or had enough game time at the top level to grow his confidence and really belong - which can only be resolved with time and experience. Now these are starting to come hopefully that class will come out.

The next Buddy tag was unfair, too much to put on a kid, but I can see why people thought he’d end up as an elite player. Look forward to watching him grow and hopefully tear up defences beside Naughton for a decade or so.

With a real knock on him being able to run out games, to see him put together that last quarter - in a physical game, against a benchmark of the competition - was breathtaking.

Always confident that he’d be a star, but I didn’t think he’d arrive this early. Players with his talent never look back after games like this. He knows he can take a big game by the scruff of the neck and make it his.

Could tell it just came together for him. After taking a couple of the grabs, he had the biggest grin on his face as he was looking for an option to dispose.

Also, he had hands to a few in big packs which the Mackay/Curnow/Hawkins/Naughty types would have been paid the mark for. That will come as he gains the reputation.

he really pulsed in the last quarter when the game needed to be won, great to see.

would still like to see improvement in bringing more balls to ground and stopping intercept marks

Last five seconds of the game, kicking that goal from 55 off a few steps, was bloody magical.

Heavy legs, lactic build up, it's bloody difficult to even make the distance with time and a proper run up

When watching the Multi-call on AL's Highlights I had to admire the Melbourne supporter in the crowd (standing next to the woman in green) who senses the moment and sees fit to film all the excitement of Jamarra about to be mobbed by his team mates even though her team are about to lose.
