"Endure" is a bit harsh on Alex Smith. He suffered a horrendous leg injury (look it up) and came back to be an excellent QB. He must have realised, watching Mahomes at the start, that his time was up. And yet he did everything he could to help him. He's a real stand up guy! Just compare his attitude to Mahomes with that prick Favre's attitude to Rodgers.

But that seems to be the Andy Reid way. Players put their team and teammates first. And it's clear the players love him. Even Terrell Owens - who hated everybody and was never shy about expressing it - never had a bad word about Reid during his time at the Eagles.

I agree about Alex Smith, real top person. Just interesting that Mahomes looked immediately like Mahomes we know today from the get go, didnt need that year off to learn

Pat wouldn't have been Pat without sitting for a year, especially behind a pro like Alex.
He needed to learn how to be a pro, how to study. It got the habits into him early for when things didn't go his way and he needed to adapt.

How about these stats?

Or these?

But this is truly amazing. Only Mahomes and Brady have ever overcome 10 point deficits in the Super Bowl. Twice each in fact.

EDIT: I've just added his regular season rankings - don't know why I omitted them before?

Crazy story about superfan ChiefsAholic, a dude who turns up in a wolf suit in the best seats and goes to every game. Apparently, he's been funding all this by robbing banks (those seats are expensive!)

Also a feature on the ESPN Daily podcast

it's crazy that a QB like Daniel Jones has just signed a $40m p.a. contract. in each of the last three seasons he has had fewer passing TDs than games played.
