So the summary version; the News Ltd daily paper 'Gold Coast Bulletin' has been running stories 100% written and supplied by the Gold Coast Suns media team.

Essentially there's so little care for the Gold Coast suns in the community the only way they can get stories written about them is to supply the stories themselves? And News Ltd is somehow okay with this? Is the AFL okay with it? It's pretty terrible "journalism"/ethics.

Here's a twitter thread about it (screenshotted in case they get deleted)

"News Ltd" hasn't been News Corp's name for years now

The only scandal here is that anyone at all thinks journalistic standards and News Corp are in any way related. This particular dodginess is actually on the higher side of their ‘standards’. They sink much, much, much lower than this.

Caroline Wilson and Mike Sheahan = journalist
Sam McLure Bachelor of Media and Communications = journalist

Tony Jones was a radio person before he got onto TV but has no journalistic qualifications
Tom Browne has Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce degree but nothing in communications, media or journalism = this is why he has no idea, speaks and writes poorly

One only has to go back to the political point scoring during covid... All about agendas and clicks.

There's no journalistic integrity in Australian media, regardless of organisation
