I'm not entirely sure why it can't be played at WH. Has the cricket started there yet?
Starts next week but they'd be preparing the wickets now

As it's supposed to be our home game, I wouldn't want it anywhere near Punt rd.

Glad that Maddy is getting up for this game. We will need her pressure in the midfield and at stoppages to hopefully counteract the influence that Mon Conti will have. She showed last week how good she is, 23 D and 3 Goals, very dominant.

I think the girl's can snatch this one. Should be a good game.
How we go will be interesting. Carlton are depleted and West Coast are basically Gold Coast c. 2017 as far as this comp is concerned, perpetually terrible no matter how much help they get. Hawthorn are a fellow expansion team.

Tigers are the first established team that we’ve come across that is regarded as being actually good. So it should be a good test and we should lose but if we win or come close to it I’ll be pretty happy.

Saved the best for last, check these out!

Right at the end of the video they're talking about these boots - the blue ones are Georgia Gee's, and the Maroon is Maddy Prespakis' pair. Kirby Bentley (our forwards coach) is planning to paint a pair of boots for every one of our girls playing this weekend! 😍

Hell of a big project but that is so brilliant and meaningful. Apparently they take just over a day each so it's a fair chunk of work to get them all done too.

Same design on each pair, the arches represent the players, so there's 16 on each boot representing all their teammates on game day. 😁

Will be an interesting game. Another established side but maybe just below the top sides. Their defense in the Geelong game that I watched was very good. They just failed to nail a few goals.

Their defensive game has improved a lot since last year, still, they are more than just below the top sides. The Lions and Dees would have a field day playing against them.

Sheerin, who they picked up in the off season is very good across half back, a 29 year old from the local Sydney comp and we need to avoid kicking the ball anywhere near her.

We also need to sit someone right on top of Conti in the middle and not let her loose. She is an absolute star of the Women's game and just keeps getting better.

Should be a good game and I think we have enough tricks to get over them.

Conti sounds like a job for Alana Barba.

She had a poor game last week, as did 'My Girl' Doonan. Against a weaker opposition, I expected more from both. So i was hoping that Doonan would be given that role to redeem herself.

Has the speed, ability and more so strength to trouble Conti. Either one of them, but, at least somebody. Can't just let her run free, she will destroy us if let loose.
