To be an impact player you have to get the ball and kick goals, if he is not doing that in the Magoo's what makes you sure he will be able to do it in AFL side.I'm not obsessed I just don't see much point in Mansell or MRJ who had 10 possessions and 1 goal between them. That was my opinion after watching them play every week and do bugger all last season. For some reason posters are happy with that. My opinion is the more firepower than you in the forward line, the more likely you are to win the match. The obsession is the other way, many are happy with very little input from a small forward, but as long as they chase the ball around the back end of the ground their job is done.
Firstly I want Cumberland in because he is an impact player who scores and creates goals. He also tackles hard and applies good pressure around the ball. His weakness is he doesn't do it all the time, but the positives outweigh the negatives. If not him I would go Clarke, next Coulthard but he needs a few more games due to interrupted preseason. Green is a maybe but not sure he has the toe, hence Campbell is playing. Happy to have Campbell there because he is a class player with a good nose for the goals.
Lynch, Cumberland, Campbell, Balta, Martin and Bolton would be about the best forward line in the league.
Play finals once in 23years they are becoming arrogant and believe the cup is theirs.I forgot Carlton had fans. Haven't heard from them since 2000 when "Koutaaaaa" was a thing and "woooooof" Christou. Welcome back Carlton fans. It's only been 23 years since we saw you. And how are you gonna celebrate 30 years of not winning anything next season?

As they always have done, and the single reason they are my number one hate side in the league.Play finals once in 23years they are becoming arrogant and believe the cup is theirs.
Would love to hear what Kane will say about the pies now…
The arrogance the brown paper bags era brought them.Play finals once in 23years they are becoming arrogant and believe the cup is theirs.
Ok. He's the coach. I'll back him in. I reckon he might know a bit more about the game than meYze did an interview on SEN with Maher and Gaze today.
Three things - Balta staying forward, Lynch has pulled up really well, Yze believes we have others to fill the defensive posts and feels it will be unfair on Noah to play defense when he’s trained as a forward all summer.

Except I would play Bolton as an on baller with occasional runs in the forward line. He does far more damage coming away from the centre stoppage, where his passing is much, much more accurate than his shooting for goal.Lynch, Cumberland, Campbell, Balta, Martin and Bolton would be about the best forward line in the league.
Pretty sure he kicked 3 and had 3 goal assists 2 weeks ago in the last half. Even on the weekend he missed an easy one and gave another away (that didn't come off). But MRJ did not kick a goal in his 5 games he played last season in the VFL, kicked one in the practice matches I think, yet he gets a gig. Mansell straight back in like he is a senior established player. Different set of rules for Cumberland. When was the last time a player kicked 6 in the VFL and did not get promoted. To be an impact player you have to get the ball and kick goals, if he is not doing that in the Magoo's what makes you sure he will be able to do it in AFL side.
Player's are to be picked on merit.
Fine, more room for Cumberland then.Except I would play Bolton as an on baller with occasional runs in the forward line. He does far more damage coming away from the centre stoppage, where his passing is much, much more accurate than his shooting for goal.
They could all come dressed as their favorite false dawn messiah (sacked coach) Pagan, Malthouse, Bolton. They're into dress ups now, Blooos brothers etcI forgot Carlton had fans. They're all walk up starts for them too, if they weren't injured.
No but we had 3 of our most important players well underdone, Lunch, Dusty and Nank. Losing 3 early also after playing after a 5 day break, I don't think their injuries were an excuse.Exactly. So they had 6 players missing & im not sure if we had anyone missing. They had arguably 2 of there most important 3-4 players out.
