Autopsy Round 16: St Kilda defeat Hawthorn

Lots of good efforts today from some new faces.

Scrimshaw, Cousins, Day and Worpel really leading the charge early before Jimmy got injured.

Fought the game out well considering the slab of games we've played.

Have at it.

Players entitled to be a bit disappointed. Had enough chances to win the game but couldn't take advantage. Saints won't go far in the finals despite their heavy investment in recruiting players from other clubs.

We had a crack, tried our best.

Hoping Greaves and Moore get more games, played well i thought.

Liked Mitch Lewis' game.

Gutted for Worpel, rest up young man and come back stronger next year.

Big shout out to Gunston too, been a tough year and he has tried his guts out every week. All class.

Positive signs from the kids.

Greaves more than capable at the level.

Moore disappointing.

Morrison: see ya!

Great effort by Hawthorn.

Greaves looks like a player!
Greaves is a nice ball user, tough bugger as well. I like him.

Day, Sicily, Scrimshaw, Greaves and all of a sudden our ball use out of the defensive 50 looks much better.

pleased with the effort, a close loss with plenty of positives is a win/win!
thought really every one of the kids other than Morris and his son fired a shot today, but hopefully the former gets a chance to play the rest of the season

*that said i would still love a win, even if its detrimental to our future

Good effort.

Impressive debut from Greaves and Scrimshaw and Day were good again. Half back line looks really good - Scrimshaw Day Greaves Sicily Impey.

Worpel was dominant until injured. His season is probably now finished but he was so much better when given greater responsibility.

Cousins should have now secured his spot for next year. I think we’ve seen enough of Morrison.

Moore will need to do more over next 2 weeks. I liked Hardwick forward

Great effort Hawks. They had a longer break and we had two injured players (Worpel & Morris). We kept fighting and it was only our execution that let us down. This was the textbook definition of an honourable loss.

so now the hawks get a longer break than next opponents? No exactly the same
