My god that dons backline got away with murder on our kfs.
Todd in particular was manhandled.
The Spp mark and shot on goal in the 3rd Qtr, the kick was to Todd, who is grabbed in a judo move and dragged to ground by a defender not remotely looking at the ball.
In no way is it remotely contentious whether it’s a free or not. In absolutely no way was it a hard to pick free for any one of the many umpires out there. Grabbing and dumping a forward before the ball even arrives there is a free kick, and it’s getting paid to other teams 99.99% of the time.
5 mins later todd 3 grabs the ball and is spear tackled by some wwe wrestler wannabe into the turf.
Again, not a 50/50 call. Not unclear or contentious. An outright obvious free kick, that is always paid.
Down our defensive end, just wrapping your arms around a forward is very likely to concede a free kick. There’s no way we would regularly get away with dumping any opposing kf to the ground with zero attempt at the ball.
