Those of you banging on about- 'he's a grown man' 'no excuse to be a thug' should thank your lucky stars you in such a position to throw out such tough love.
While not excusing Yaz, what others have touched on re: broader societal problem of aboriginal communities, goes a fair way to explaining why we see such a disproportionate percentage of aboriginal men in trouble with the law.

Lucky stars - give me a break !!!

You have to look at Aboriginal issues before calling an Indigenous person a thug. I always cringe when people forget a s**t upbringing, caused by decades of oppression and identity loss, when talking about these people. The guy is a very good footballer and he showed some nice composure, smarts, and smart skills pretty much right off the back. Unfortunately he has some obvious issues around anger, and that's something he needs to address.

Hope Freo tries to help the bloke out but ultimately you have to put this down to a wider societal issue.

Probably just as cringey to start talking up his football abilities in a thread about being charged with assault.

Being good at football doesn't mean he isn't a thug, just makes him a thug who can play football

"Unless you remember this man storming into your house with three others armed with knife, brick, star picket & a wooden stake when a 2 year old boy lay (what we then thought) was sleeping in his room, one pinned me up against the wall while the other three attacked my partner in the bedroom hitting him over the head with a brick and ultimately slashing his hand, leaving a 6 inch deep slash in the mattress where they had tried to stab him, and us both scarred by the events that night"

Yep "s**t upbringing, caused by decades of oppression and identity loss" is all the excuses you need !!!

There is no such thing as bad bacon

You have never met my ex mrs. She once set a pot on fire boiling water. Or the time she wanted to reheat dinner in the oven so put a plastic microwave cover over the top of it at 200c. Or maybe how she boils 2 minute noodles for 20 minutes. It is terrifying but i have seen bad bacon. I was so distraught it forced me to move her along.

So she wasn't a good egg then?

Adam Vogues hopes she's going to become the next Australian selector, cause everyone else knows he's cooked

yarran very much was in the trouble youth category... ended up in prison from an early age and served 6 years for a very very bad incident

if i re-call correctly him and his mates broke into a young families home, in the kids room they held the mother up against a wall, whilst they severely assaulted her partner with an object

having said that, he is a very shy character and a good natured person, but there is obviously an issue there where the worst can come out of him. alcohol seems to be an issue here based on the judges last comments

i like yaz and was hoping freo could assist him in keeping his life on track, rehabilitating him and turning him into a success story. win/win/win for yarran/freo/the courts

sadly it looks like another slip up has occurred and a trend is starting to appear

i hope he stays on the list and out of prison and this is the last incident we hear of from him. if it is found alcohol was an issue here again, i hope people convince him to give it up permanently

Good-natured people don't take part in brutal home invasions.

I met Yarran briefly at the Casino of the night of the Freo B+F

That is all

Perth news this morning mentioned it was his partner? Maybe a slip up of family member as would think a bigger deal would be made of this
