Whilst that is true it was cheaper than Footy Park food and beverage and it was branded in their colours and set up for them. The Magarey Room is pretty sterile for Port post games whereas the GDV had a good vibe, music, saw lots of people you knew there, oppo supporters came in and had a good time. It had a lot more of that post game at Alberton than the sterile Magarey Room. Plus unlike Alberton you didn't have to drive there and worry about drinking and driving and if it was a day or twilight game kill an hour or two there and head off to town.Doesn't the Magarey Room pretty much a defacto "Shed" anyrate? Reckon there is a lot of nostalgic romance around the Shed for Crows people. The reason it worked at Footy Park was that there was literally nowhere else to go, and it gave them something to do instead of sitting in traffic for an hour. Both these things aren't particularly factors at AO.
