Sunday Night Grand Final

I'm half hoping it's a dismal failure, because if it isn't, sure as s.h.i.t, the AFL will pick up on it and try to get the AFL Grand Final played at night. Especially if a sponsor can't be found and there is no pre-season comp.

The NRL just got in first, thats all guys, not that I agree with having them at night.
I recall the various radio stations discussing the potential move of an afl g/f being moved to the evening when Wayne Jackson insinuated it will happen one day down the track.!!

Ch 9, in their wisdom are now showing the game on a half hour delay at 8.30. Still, it's better than 10.30, if you can avoid a radio to hear the score.

Ch.Nein are a pathetic bunch of no-hopers
When I rang and spoke to a Stuart (sorry forgot his surname) we were debating this issue for about 10 mins. and he said the g/f ratings will show up badly. When I questioned him on this, he admitted that ONLy 300 PEOPLE WOULD BE SURVEYED ON WHETHER THEY WATCHED THE NRL....MIND you Ch.9 will decide on those 300 people's answers to give them future direction of rugby league into Melb.
I reallu think this is a disgrace!!! Because obviously here in Melb. r/l is still a very new sport and it needs promotion and support, and Ch.9 should get into the community and see how many people would love to see this game broadcast (especially the g/f) and how many people cram into the Casino, the Max and other hotels to view this game......its just so crazy!! A petiton of over 3,000 fans(in just a few weeks) here went to Ch.9 and the NRL just a couple of weeks ago trying to get them to have more r/l into this town and WA AND SA.
