What on earth do touchies do? They Miss forward passes every game. Are they there to just look good or something they are useless

It's all about positioning and getting into the right one. Maybe they're coached that way. In fairness though, I've seen refs completely ignore the touchie and just play on too.

Probably with right reason when the touchies intervene 9/10 they are wrong. Somehow they called two borderline passes earlier in the game and miss the howler.
