As the title says... disappointing

• I don’t recall being as excited about a player as Wardlaw
• When it worked, my god, did Northball work
• We are seriously going to have a great midfield soon
• For someone’s previous whipping boy, Scott has done well
• Say goodbye to bottom two after that
• Powell and Fisher

• Need a small forward
• Need that foil for Larks
• Need that KPD (nothing against either Pink or Dawson specifically but someone to lock down a key tall would be appreciated)
• Need that game to be shown for the rest of the year on why we need to start well and why we need to work on fitness

Don't know what the 40 minute capitulation was though. Fatigue? Freoadjusting and us completely failing to adjust with them? The realization that neither CCJ nor Corr had been subbed out yet?

Fair effort for the players to eventually adjust and draw even in the 4th quarter, but hard to praise them strongly because it was too little too late.

Xerri might genuinely give AA a shake if he maintains this level, Wardlaw is so enjoyable to watch, Dawson was decent, Pink was improved, and I thought PC couldn't be described as lazy today while also being an impact player. Powell probably the pick of the players though, he was immense.

Yep, worked for and against us. Said in the thread there must have been a memo in the offseason, because players were absolutely holding onto it looking for the right option while being tackled.

Backline is a massive issue

Completely outcoached in the second half. Did nothing to stem the bleeding in the third. Bull should have gone in the middle start of the third

They had 44 inside 50s and scored 27 times. That is a laughable (at us) conversion rate.

It’s on the individual defenders, it’s on the (not enough) numbers back and it’s on the coaching. Just horrible. And anyone arguing against Corr being the first one out of there is absolutely kidding themselves. Has been there the longest and has been consistently poor with one of the lowest football IQ’s i’ve ever seen at the club.

Not as much as the midfield defensive system is.

When we switch off, our backline looks out of sorts. It happens to the best of teams. We can't let momentum swings get to us.

That was a winnable game and we bottled it in the second half. It was back to the old North 2023 and previous.

Not at all happy with today's result. Maybe pleased with some individuals that had good games but we simply didn't work for long enough. That's what hurts.

• Hopefully a second Rising Star nomination for Georgie. Hard to believe he’s only played 10 or so games.

We were 5 goals up for goodness sake.
