Incompetence then sure, the same shit now.. Brady still has a job. The board approved trading out the first round pick, the board approved jys 15 year contract.. The board needs to **** off. Full clean out. Fish rots at the head..

Dont forget, Sonja tried to keep Nobles, that was her pick.
In what way did Sonja try to keep Nobles? :stern look

**** me. Watching Logue trying to organise our defensive set up and postion as the loose man.

The bloke had no idea. Must have counted at least half a dozen times he was pointing to other players but they were telling him where to be.

Can't believe I'm going to say this but we missed Luke McDonald
Was an absolute embarrassment watching Logue prancing about loose in the backline.
He hardly impacted any contests, was not an outlet and was caught in no man’s land time and time again.

Playing him was a selection mistake. No suitable matchup, so why play him? He’s already been dropped, he is not un-droppable. FOS and Hardeman would have played the role better.
If you don’t want to take them away from defensive posts, play Sheezel there.
Very rarely did he assist as third man up.
Waste of a player on the ground.

Embarrassing for him, the coaches and the club.

I don't get the potting of Melksham, he's always been a decent forward but had a bad run with injuries. Was in good form lately.
He’s always been serviceable, but as you say had a bad run with injuries.

Pretty rare to see a bloke hit career best form, and actually look like an A grader, at 33 on the back of an ACL.

It’d be kinda cool if he didn’t just give us a spanking.

If we had a team that showed up we could have positioned ourselves to claw our way out of the bottom 4.

It would have been the first time in 6 seasons we’d have been able to do it.

We’re so beaten down that the idea of being in 14th is an insurmountable task.
How ****in sad is it though that we would have been happy to be 14th.

This club has just become a shell of what we were and what we stand for. There was a time when nothing less than a PF was acceptable.

Once again we got absolutely pumped on scores from turnover. It’s pretty much a terminal condition now.

I know everyone bemoans our terrible ball use but we’re actually right on mid-table/afl average for turnovers per game. It’s just that we have no capacity to defend when we do turn it over.

It’s going to take some drastic action to fix something so ingrained.

**** off logue.

He’s an absolute cancer that leads to blokes pointing left right and centre where to go rather than structuring up.

As soon as Chom went out after the blues game it’s been open slather down there

Simpkin pushed him into the contact from Xerri, sure Xerri was careless in his action but any Blues barrister would easily get Curnow, Crisps, etc off in the same circumstance due to the mitiging circumstances.

But we don't have a Blues barrister and we get the North tax so it's 4-5 weeks.
It's not about the barrister. Do you honestly think Cripps gets off and gets a Brownlow playing for North? Zero chance.

What if Simpkin was to confess?

Can he do that?

Maybe they told him to play the LMac role.

Jokes aside, he's not been good at all this season. A couple of decent marks and the odd spoil, but those things are what he ought to be doing consistently. He's not Robinson Crusoe though. we also have Daniel so that's a third of the defence who can't defend reliably and these two are almost the worst two in the team to dispose. One is an almost certain turnover and the other changes direction and backpedals before short passing so frequently that the opposition would actually want to have the ball in his hands.

Maybe his time at * under Jimmy and the boys is paying off.

We play Sydney in Sydney, Geelong at home, GWS in Canberra and Adelaide at home.
These 4 games are odds on for 40 point losses if we play like we have been.

We need to regroup. We can't just meander and teeter out another year with no momentum.

St. Kilda in 3 weeks and Richmond in Hobart have to be wins. Just have to be. Non-negotiable.

Lets gets to 30 points and pinch one against the Cats or Crows. Lets get our percentage above 80.

6 weeks to go we need to make every game count.

We get soldiers back next week but I want to see nothing left in the tank by round 24.

We're a slow, small team. So we struggle to get back and even if we do the cross matches become a nightmare.

Replace Daniel, Powell, Simpkin, Scott and Phillips with players who can both run and impact a marking contest and we'd see a huge difference.

Maybe it's harsh to name them when others struggle in these areas, but they bring other positives that the players above don't.

Daniel gets turned off on every transition. The dogs figured this out two years ago.

I’m not sure if your photo is Jack Darling, Lindsay Thomas or Morrissey. I’m terribly sorry.

Strange to think we need to do any of this because I was assured that winning the last game against Gold Coast at the end of 2023 set up a winning culture. 😵‍💫

Half the reason is that we’re exhausted and they run straight by us. Why are we exhausted? Because we repeatedly kick long and high into a forward line where NOBODY can take a high contested mark, and the opposition readily mark it, and are spreading while our five players who flew for the ball pick themselves off the turf. The opposition are then off in transition and we’re chasing .. again … and again… and again.

Yes, there are myriad other issues, but getting someone who can take a contested mark, and a small crumber, will go a long way to that. Has to be top priority over the off season.

Or… hit up a leading forward. And thank god for Cooper looking like he might wake them up in that regard.

That's just you not understanding what people were saying, but that's okay.

One act doesn't suddenly build a winning culture. It takes many winning acts, consistently, over an extended time. Intentionally going the other way, by trying to lose, is contrary to a winning culture.

It doesn't mean that we've done the right thing consistently enough, since. But in that moment we did.

Clarko is in the fight of his life.

He should be ruthless with selection, feedback and standards and be willing to drop ANYONE that doesn't adhere to a win at all costs last 2 months.

The Crows were 15th last year and a bottom four side most of the time since 2020.

This year they are third.

Same coach, in his sixth season, has gone from 15th to third after being bottom four for most of his time at the Crows.
They had about five gun senior players that made up their spine and have traded for their gun captain and Rankine in that time.

We brought in some gun players in the winter years of their careers and a bunch of plodders.

I don’t care that Powell has played three BOG games this year. It’s round 17 for Pete’s sake and he has overall been very disappointing. We can’t keep carrying flaky and out of form players in the midfield.

If there was any fairness or justice, Clarkson should be calling Jy’s pathetic displays this year out in the media. Not good enough. But then again, Clarkson has been really ceap as well. How many times has his lacklustre game day tactics cost is games.

It seems absurd with our midfield investments that we are scraping the bottom of the barrel with 2 of our best 22 mids missing.
